Very very informative, i'd like to say I KNEW IT but I didn't, though I personally never saw Jinx (or Popo) as racist, heck when I first watched pokemon racism was the last thing on my mind, i was like...6-ish

There's another connection between Jynx and Santa Claus: BOTH were made by beverage industries to sell their product. While Jynx was derived from the yama uba to sell sake, Santa Claus is the modern day interpretation of the holiday figure, Saint Nickolaus, created by Coke Cola to sell soda.
Santa did not get his red suit from Coke, although he was depicted drinking Coke as advertisement. The suit is much older and there is evidence going back to 1885. The first question of the MythBusters Christmas checks this fact. The quiz link is below.
Not gonna lie, I never heard about the Jynx and Mr. Popo racism thing, but hey people will complain about anything just to get noticed and make themselves happy. Thank you Mat for for making since and proving dumb people wrong.
