Great video! I still need to jump into the RE series but that game looks interesting. A shame that the Japanese port didn't work so well for yall though.

I'm currently mulling over doing a bonus 14th episode at the end of the season where I go over stuff I missed in the main show. If I can get the Japanese DVD-ROM release working on my PC I'll cover it there. As for Resident Evil, the remake for the Game Cube (or the Wii "Resident Evil Archives" re-release) is a great place to start.

It almost makes you wonder how things would've been if Nintendo released the N64DD and played disc-based games. Would it have made it that much better or would it go the way of Sega CD... and would Gamecube have been the next Saturn?

IIRC Final Fantasy 7 was going to be an N64 game but the limits of the cartridges (and Nintendo's refusal to change to a CD format) made Square go to Sony. Things could've played out quite differently if Nintendo hadn't dug their heels in the sand.

I remember something like that being a big deal when it happened. I know that the WonderSwan benefited from that relationship going a bit sour.
