Great job! Is season 2 here yet? I liked the new Death Battle. I don't nitpick them that juch, I just watch for enjoyment. Thanks for mentioning What Just Happened. I feel like I should give it more love, but its not an easy series to make for some reason.

It's a good concept. You should consider keeping it up.

Great job with the season finale as a whole! I thought it was pretty awesome!

I think the animation and research of the Death Battle episode were both done well. The only problems I had were with some item inaccuracies. For example, golden gauntlets are supposed to be used for lifting certain rocks; they never had a combat bonus. The ribbon that Cloud had was also supposed to protect him completely from status ailments, but he got frozen which should not have been able to happen. Link can't use the boots to run up walls, and Cloud also had a much smaller item inventory than Link did. But again though, I thought that the change in graphics was an interesting idea, and I'm glad they experimented around with it. The episode certainly looked and sounded very nice.

As for the ending, the lack of mutilation and excessive blood was probably due to time constraints. But at least they tried something different out with the graphics department.

Thanks a lot for mentioning my video series by the way! I really appreciate it.

"For example, golden gauntlets are supposed to be used for lifting certain rocks; they never had a combat bonus."

That's why DEATH BATTLE specifically mentioned they don't increase striking power, they only mentioned how they can resist high levels of pressure. If the Golden Gauntlets can keep Link stable under 1000 tons of force induced by a giant rock of granite I don't see why the same can't apply to sword strikes.

"The ribbon that Cloud had was also supposed to protect him completely from status ailments, but he got frozen which should not have been able to happen. Link can't use the boots to run up walls, and Cloud also had a much smaller item inventory than Link did."

Cloud broke through the ice (in other words he was immune to it) and as Death Battle has already stated, the videos are never 100% accurate representations of how an actual fight would go down, they're there for 'rule of cool'.

I'm not saying the idea of DEATH BATTLE making mistakes or inaccuracies is impossible, but I REALLY wish people would stop complaining about what happens in the animations and analyze the team's data in the beginning or end segments. Those contain the details worth analyzing.

Thanks for the backup LT! Yeah, I have yet to see a "legitimate" complaint about the analysis and representation that wasn't already addressed in the episode itself. All that tells me is some people aren't listening to the rundowns for some reason. But what amazes me is how picky some folks are suddenly being about the fight animation. No dust cloud when Link stops? Really? I mean, it wasn't that long ago that I was doing the animations...

And 2D sprites have more "opportunity?" Huh? With all due respect I have no idea how you came to that conclusion, Flapperdoodle. They're 2D. Singularly hand-made. They're pre-defined. Everything about a battle with 2D sprites has to be determined by what sprites are available. Like if Kratos doesn't have a "throwing" sprite, he can't throw anything at Spawn or Spawn himself. Little edits can help add some things, like Rogue's unprotected hand, but there are limits to that, too. Lange may be a master at manipulating 2 dimensional sprites to their maximum limit for a 3 dimensional environment (Thor VS Raiden is proof) but with 3D models, nothing is pre-determined, and we have complete control over every movement. Very little of what happened in the Link VS Cloud fight could have been accomplished with 2D sprites, especially considering how few and limited the decent sprite collections of both characters are.

I know, many have been up my ass, but I would just like to say I am glad that out of everyone, YOU came to me for answer. I dunno, I just feel cool about it. Not the point though.

Listening back, "opportunity" was in no way the right word. What I was saying then was not a good way to describe what I truly felt. What I was saying was with the 2D sprite, it felt like the character was more alive and, overall, more flexible. The 3D animation for me looked stiff a little bit. I get you controlling all of their movement with the 3D, and I do think this helps the battle be more realistic looking, but I feel it was more exciting and interesting to see the characters as sprites because it seemed like DEATH BATTLE had more personality and overall seemed more exciting. I personally felt you did more with the 2D sprites than you did with the 3D here. I'm sorry if that upsets you, but it is my honest opinion.

Don't worry though, I do think the animation was cool, I just like 2D better. Plus, yes, some sprites aren't available normally, but aren't there sprite artists who can design some?

Either way, I am very happy you left a comment let alone listened to the Season Finale. I get that since it is DEATH BATTLE, but I appreciate it nonetheless. :)
