I've been making this argument too. Thank you. Yes I am a woman (I say woman and not girl because I'm fucking 24 years old, not 12). Yes I play video games, read comics, watch scifi and horror. But I don't call myself anything. Why? Because I'm not anything. I am a fan who loves the things I love and my gender doesn't mean shit. I hate it when "girls" go into forums and complain about how guys act towards them on XBL or at cons. I say the same shit, mute your headset on XBL or just stay in a private chat with friends and you wont hear what they say. I DO THAT. It isn't hard. And at cons just smile and wave. I 100% completely agree with what you said at the end of your video. If you really love something then there's no reason you should feel you have to defend your self to a complete stranger. I know I don't give two fucks if someone I never met and will never see again doesn't think I love the things I love. Then again I have had "geek girls" and "nerd girls" get angry at me and say I'm putting back women's rights. HA! These girls don't know shit about women's rights. Okay, THAT was funny. And true. I just don't give a crap about the whole "girl gamers" thing. If a girl plays video games, awesome. If she doesn't, boohoo, it's not the end of the world. And at the end of the day, what makes girls playing video games different from guys playing video games? Gender? Because if that's the case, all of those "girl gamers" who preach about being a minority that's important but disrespected etc. are just being sexist themselves. Who cares what gender you are? If you play video games, then good on you.

That being said, I only really care about girls who play video games, but uh.... deal with it?
