I liked Brotherhood, but Revelations I've yet to beat.

I heard that Revelations did even add anything to the story and that the plot twists that are revealed were already revealed in the second game.

I know Desmond and the Animus are what tie all the stories together, but I kinda wish it was only about the period pieces.
