Taloon's Great Adventure was a Japan only RPG that helped to popularize the sub-genre called 'rogue-like'. These adventures are semi-real time dungeon crawlers. Other games in the genre include Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon and Shiren the Wanderer. These games were usually developed by Chunsoft.
Pocket Monster is a pirate based off the Pokémon series for the Mega Drive and SNES, the SNES version being claimed to be made by DVS Electronic Co. It was supposedly released in 2000 due to small icons reading "New Game" and "2000" on the box art.
