I loved my DSi XL before trading it in for my 3DS. Now I can have everything I loved about it and the 3DS in one sexy package. I just hope the Circle Pad Pro XL they've announced will be available at launch.

Ambassador games are transferable between 3DS'es, so I'd imagine you can transfer them to the XL easily on day 1.

I concur! It's just the same thing but bigger, they're not even putting any innovation. Nintendo is just trying to make a quick buck. To make it worse, the ac adaptor apparently doesn't come with it and the stand for Kid Icarus is probably useless now. It's just the 3DS but bigger and I doubt that now they can justify it by saing that it's for the ederly because the casual market is not as strong as it was. The casual market is like a full moon, it comes once in a while but you should not rely too much on it.
And anyway if you're an ederly hardcore gamer (yes that does exist) you probably have glasses or some sort of apparatus so you don't need a titanic screen.

This doesn't bother me, unlike all the DS models this doesn't make me feel bad for getting 3DS original as it's not a huge improvement over the 3DS. It has its advantages and disadvantages so if anything it'll just be more of an nice alternative for the consumer. Good job Nintendo.

Meh. If they had slapped the 2nd circle pad on that bad boy, it would've been a done deal. I'll stick with my current 3DS and probably pick one of these up when the price drops.

im still on the fence about this one.
The giddy child in me wants one because its new and has a massive screen which is cooool, but the cynical gamer in me knows it isn't much different from the 3DS I have now and it would be more money wasted on essentially the same system, when I could spend that money on loads of new games or put it into my Wii U fund.

no thanks. If it turns out to be awesome after all I'll get it then. But I was really disappointed with the 3ds I have now.
I'm starting to get a little agitated when every time I don't like or want something and state my reasons why, with no angry or insulting words, there are plenty of people that attack me by calling me a hater.

Pay no attention to those people. There are us who logically defend Nintendo with facts and sound reason yet we're called mindless fanboys. You can tell if someone doesn't even attempt to understand what you're trying to say, to those people, just ignore them and know that you're not a whiny moron who doesn't have anything better to do. For me, I'm not getting the XL because apart from loving my 3DS, its size also allows me to easily bring it around, the XL would make that difficult and I have no need for a larger screen.
