do you think it will be a a 2D or 3D fighter, cause i think if they made 3D it would be awesome if it was like tekken or soul caliber

KingSigy

I suppose this is better than MK Vs DC, but I don't think the DC Comics Heroes really fit into a fighter. Most of them are so stoic and heroic that it's nearly impossible to imagine them as bad guys or even fighting against each other.

Then again, Nether Realm are working on it. I bet it will be super polished and have great DLC support.

This looks like the UMVC3 trailer.

I'll give this one a try, its always great to see a game that isn't SF or other big name title.

oh and the game looks pretty damn good

The trailer looks great and interesting, but it will take more than that to convince me to be purchasing the game, let alone the Wii U for it. I will grant it some benefit of doubt since NetherRealm has been working on it and they have been flawless in the latest release of Mortal Kombat. Then again, the Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe game left a SEVERE and HORRIBLE "taste in my mouth"...and I didn't even play it. I watched game-play and the "Fatalities with Heroic Brutalities" for every character, hoping to see at least 1 redeeming thing to make me want to buy the game. But, that never happened...the major and "final nail in the coffin" was this...seeing ALL of Mortal Kombat aspects being severely nerf'ed in comparison to what I was expecting.

But, we will see what E3 brings and go from there. :)

all I can say is it looks pretty freakin cool

If this was Marvel vs DC then I would be sold. Still, the game doesn't look that bad.

Shockforce5

May 31, 2012 - 7:37pm

so this is what netherrelm has been working on... looks epic!!!

Lord Frostin

May 31, 2012 - 7:22pm

It's neat but i would rather it be marvel.

May 31, 2012 - 7:18pm

why the injustice league only, please make it that its also the justiceleague vs the injustice league because that would be awesome

usedgamer

May 31, 2012 - 7:11pm

A DC fighting game would be cool, but it looks like they are going for the new 52 route... Plus a DC Game should have more of a fun street fighter tone not a dark tone.

pat speed

May 31, 2012 - 7:24pm

not if its the villains. DC as darker villains maybe even more darker villains then marvel

usedgamer

May 31, 2012 - 7:33pm

I agree with you there, but even though villians were shown in the trailer I fell like the focus is on making the heroes look darker. It's the first trailer though so we'll see how this game goes.

pat speed

June 1, 2012 - 3:07am

the heros aren't getting darker. Its there evil version of them selves.

I'm seriously hoping nothing but the best for this game, especially when it comes to the Wii U version, which I plan on buying. Not sure how a fighting game would play on the tablet controller, but I guess we'll find out sometime next week (considering that there will be a playable demo or if we get an interview that touches on the topic) or in the near future. If I get the chance to play as Static Shock, Batman Beyond, or any of the Teen Titans/Young Justice members, I will be even happier to give NetherRealm my money.

I'm excited for this! I can't wait to see what else they have to give!

King Meatball I

May 31, 2012 - 4:49pm

Mixed reaction since on one hand, if it actually mimics MK 9 then it should be great but on the other hand DC could put in the same restrictions they had for DC vs MK which ended up hurting that game a lot.

pat speed

May 31, 2012 - 7:19pm

There all the evil versions of the justice league and i'm guessing the villains. theres not going be those restrictions this time. or hopefully

APPL3JU1C3

FFS this isn't E3 news, E3 starts Monday. I hate game companies that do this whole announcing games early thing.

Broseidon

May 31, 2012 - 12:00pm

I'll probably end up buying this game, but I'll also probably end up hating it.

EddieD129

May 31, 2012 - 11:43am

If they either go all out with fatalities and not puss out or if you just knock characters out like you would in any other fighting game, I won't have any problems. Otherwise Major Hype!

killacut10

May 31, 2012 - 11:50am

fatalities is a mortal kombat thing. you dont see street fighter guys of marvel vs capcom guys using fatalities. why should this game

EddieD129

May 31, 2012 - 12:01pm

Because in the trailer Superman is shooting an opponent into orbit, for what I assume is a fatality. Besides that it is the people who made Mortal Kombat.

killacut10

May 31, 2012 - 11:22pm

it kinda does look like a finisher of some kind of thing. but my point is this is not a mk game so its not likely there will be fatalitys.

EddieD129

June 1, 2012 - 12:08am

Sorry. I only thought that because its Netherrealms and the game itself is trying to take DC comics in a darker direction that they would find a way to make them kill each other.

pat speed

May 31, 2012 - 7:22pm

its the unjustice league this time, so if its going to be them its eithe rgoing to be ther erouge gallery and the evil versions of them

ScottBox64

May 31, 2012 - 11:40am

hell yes if netherrelm studios is doing this then it should be good, cant wait to see some actual gameplay

MrCrowleeyy333

May 31, 2012 - 11:40am

I'm on the ropes with this game, even though it looks really kool, mk vs. dc still burns me abit but the game looks great even though I've never really been a dc fan. I will follow the game and try my best to play it when it comes out and give it a chance.

GL7200

May 31, 2012 - 11:36am

Really as good as this looks I would still prefer individual games. I will take a really good Superman game, on the level of recent Batman Games, instead of a fighter. That being said, it looks golden for what it is.

Cam the TriforceBoy

May 31, 2012 - 11:30am

I'm hoping that Captain Marvel, Martian Manhunter, Hal Jordan, Raven, and Aquaman find their way into this somehow. Yes, I like Aquaman, don't give me that look. :|

And holy cow, NetherRealm is developing it. This is going to be awesome.

ExplodingLobster

May 31, 2012 - 6:11pm

Hal Jordan's moveset would probably just be made up of various punches with a giant green fist

AgentKane

May 31, 2012 - 12:06pm

There is nothing wrong with Aquaman. Given his new comics and his portrayal in Batman: Brave and the Bold, Aquaman is badass.

Cam the TriforceBoy

May 31, 2012 - 1:06pm

Hell yeah, his portrayal in Brave and the Bold is what got me to love the character. It just makes me sad that the common opinion is STILL that he's a worthless/stupid character...

skugglerthrash

May 31, 2012 - 11:25am

did netherrealm forget about DC vs MK already?

abINC88

May 31, 2012 - 12:59pm

Yes and they're trying to make up for it. Maybe being a stand alone game will allow them more freedom.

skugglerthrash

June 1, 2012 - 2:21am

sorry but comic games should stick to beat em ups.

abINC88

June 1, 2012 - 2:27am

Because Marvel comics totally didn't do well as a fighting game so why can't DC?

SM3Carnage

May 31, 2012 - 11:24am

Hmmm. This could be interesting. Even though I am more of a Marvel then a DC fan, I'm definitely gonna keep a eye on this.

Lozjudai

May 31, 2012 - 11:23am

Do you see that also coming to wiiu? EPIC WIN!!

TheSeriousSentinel

May 31, 2012 - 11:19am

If it has these characters, I will play it all day day everyday: John Stewart Green Lantern (Screw Hal Jordan), Vigilante, Green Arrow, Static Shock, Sinestro, Atomic Skull, Scarecrow

JamesEvil9

May 31, 2012 - 11:00pm

My only question: Can even NetherRealm deliver on this premise? My cynical old man side says "Probably not" but the comic book geek/fighting game fan in me wants so very much for that other side to shut the hell up and be wrong. But,at least you can color me interested.

JamesEvil9

May 31, 2012 - 10:56pm

Agreed and i'd like to throw in Power Girl,Superboy-Prime,Huntress and Firestorm.
