...what the hell did they do to this version of the game? If you check the game's website ( http://www.finalfantasyviipc.com/en ) the minimum requirements are listed as 2GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, and DirectX 9 graphics card. The existing PC version of the game released by Eidos had a minimum of Pentium 133, 32MB RAM, DirectX 5 and 4MB video card. Either they have programmers that utterly SUCK at optimizing code, they're DRASTICALLY exaggerating the minimum requirements, or they made things awesome.

This game is over rated... is what I expect a bunch of hipsters to say.
Phroday
Love the game. Own an old PC copy, always worked fine for me. But, that was a god awful trailer.
CyberAngel573
Why do I have a feeling that it will look and play exactly like it did almost 15 years ago?
Board_games_r_evil
sounds like an awesome tv show brah
Connections
Amazing a game done that long ago still trumps the last 6 FF games
deadpan
nope.still nope convinced this version doesn't suck.
Zanon
It's not gonna be new, I heard someone made a HD patch for the game a while ago, though I would love a re-make, I think the reason is this why they haven't made a re-make, they wanna push their new battle system on us and see if their new games sell well, now if they had remade final fantasy 7 in HD and it out sold every game they had made in the previous as in ff13 with the new battle system, it would prove them wrong that the old battle system is superior to theirs. .............. though steam pc version was bugged out like crazy.

I'm pretty sure any fan could make a better trailer
Jason_Is_In_A_Toilet
who also wants a Legend of Dragoon re-release
Kaibaman41
Legend of Dragoon is on the PSN store right now.
Jason_Is_In_A_Toilet
o, i did not know that, but one for pc would still be cool

OrangeGuy
No point in buying this unless you really want to use model and texture mods made by fans, which are pretty nice btw but it won't convince people to download it.
I remember playing a FF8 demo on PC its rubbish compared to the ps1 version.
LordoftheDerp
Fuck. Since when did FF7 become Expendables 3!?!?!?!?!
AgentKane
Wait, they aren't willing to remake FF7 like they did with FF4 for the DS, but they are still willing to milk the hell out of FF7?
Kaibaman41
To further add to that confusion Square wants to make More FF13 material until production starts on FFX HD a Final Fantasy thats either loved or hated by the FF fan Base -_- SQUARE LOGIC
Icipall
My first experience with Final Fantasy was actually the PC-demo of Final Fantasy VII.
joeshadowman
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The PC version of FF7 is terrible. Do not get.
FinalplayerRyu
Meh... digital download, would have been nice to replace my old CDs, cause one is broken.
FinalplayerRyu
You sir... are wrong
ShinraCorp
Hope you can explain why, because for all I know you just had a terrible experience with it, or even never did. There's nothing wrong with the PC version, game got fixed for XP and higher in 2003, people modded it to get up to standard with today's technology (1080p gaming for example) and to be frankly honest, way better translated than the PSX version.
JETZ.acx
The only two things I didn't like about the PC version was the MIDI tracks and some graphical missteps. Square-Enix can fix both of them in this day and age easily.
Takahashi2212
I have the PC Version. I don't think it's bad at all.
Tom the Iron Man
Isn't this the trailer they used to advertise it back in the 90s? Also where the frig is the Steam version?
Toadnado
Steam already has Final Fantasy VII and VIII in the background and just needs to be updated and unlocked by Square. Was a news about a half a year ago.
Tom the Iron Man
I was well aware of that, hence my asking where the Steam version was. They are going to make more money by reaching a broader audience through Steam than just selling it through their store.
