I love how the new Gears of War game was just an after thought at Microsoft's press, but they had around 5 minutes dedicated to a Nike fitness game. It really shows you what company they've become.

I wouldn't go throwing hate just yet. Gears is scheduled for a 2013 launch and it wasn't even mentioned what part of 2013. I viewed the trailer as more of a "Hey, we are working on this," sort of thing. If it is scheduled for a late year release (like GoW3 was), I'd fully expect a huge blowout at next year's E3.

I see what you're saying. But I still would have like a little more pomp circumstance than just, hey where making this game I guess. I mean, Bioshock Infinite's first trailer was released in 2010, and it was still really cool and exciting. So why can't Gears?

More of the same? Probably. A bad thing? Nope. Gears does the whole cover shooter thing incredibly well. And they've learned how to tell a better story (finally) with GoW3.
For franchises like this, I don't need a mind blowing new gameplay. I am okay with the tried and true stuff as long as it has new locales and a new story.

I didn't like Gears until I really played them. also, it didn't help that I tried to play the first game on Hardcore (which I later found out is totally manageable for Gears 2 and 3.) after playing all 3 in a row, I have to say they are all good games despite their flaws.

stoked that it's about baird. enjoy him quite a bit more then i ever like marcus. don't mind it's the same game. what did people want the on rails shooter they were gonna make? gonna laugh if it's still is some how. XD

To answer the question... yeah probably... I love it. People bitch about Mario Wii U being the same as before when they go gaga over the stuff fed to them in the same bloody, gunny, muscle, brown package.
