darkhyrulelord: It would have been interesting if it had multiplayer but....it is fine without it, I think.

Screwy1: lol I have a friend who hates OOT. I remember when it first came out & all he could do was poo poo it. He steadily talked less & less about it as it's popularity grew & he realized he was in the minority XD

Remember when Nintendo blew our minds by revealing that the Zelda time-line doesn't just split once, but twice. For many, it didn't make sense... but for me, it finally made sense.
Here, we take the premise for time-travel introduced in Ocarina of Time and apply it to Skyward Sword. Hold onto your hats 'cause this one's a doosey!

dreamkaster64: are you saying that the skyward sword zelda and the zelda 2 zelda are the same person? because in links adventure zelda was put in a coma by her brother
A younger gamer recently told me that he not only played the original Mega Man... he beat it on his first try. All I could do in response was smile.

beyondthestars: I have my doubts that he actually beat Mega Man (or even played it) since there are parts that you have to memorize (like the yellow devil). I totally agree with you, though. The classics are still classic for a reason. In the conversation, he was trying to say that old games, compared to this generation's ones, aren't for "real" gamers. That's what I was smiling about.

Evil Ivan: It doesn't hurt for kids to have a solid grounding in the classics. I made sure that was the case with my nephew, who's now 12. I even managed to expose him to bona fide arcades in our area before they all shut down.
With it, I take gaming concepts that are usually cast in a negative light and bring a fresh perspective to them. The emphasis (as illustrated by the Game Changers thumbnail) is to give credence to the things that have helped evolve the industry - regardless of whether or not we gaming enthusiasts ever needed them to have a good time.
This idea of giving the alternate point of view was originally inspired by my conviction that there is beauty all around us and when we don't understand the appeal of something, it's a great thing to seek out.
