The implication of "Citizen Kane" is that currently games aren't a medium on par with films.
Individually, I do have to explain that games are better than the general populace would have you believe, but I think that as a collective we should start acting like it's equal as we know that it is. It's easier to make the assumption of equality and then let people challenge us, instead of bringing the fight to them. Otherwise it's like we're conceding that we think videogames aren't as important as films.
This is a great post and I'm glad I'm not the only one who is annoyed by the derisive terminology that people use that can subconsciously harm this medium.
I would call it the next great thing or probably or probably would tart calling newer thing that new revolutionary game
