The Gamer from Mars will discuss some of the most popular theories throughout the Super Mario Bros. franchise.
4/19/13 5:00pm
The Gamer from Mars will take a look at The Legend of Zelda Minish Cap to see if there's a reason why it's always overshadowed.
darkhyrulelord: Minish Cap sold less copies than Finding Nemo (GBA)??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! *warlock punches the world*
Also Minish Cap is an awesome Zelda game indeed. I consider it better than the DS ones.

SideSmash: If we're going to use that term, I'd apply it to Spirit Tracks. The biggest critique I see of it is "TRAINS R STOOPID!"
Igetstabby: Aptly rated, cause it's not that memorable. Even after playing it again on the 3ds, i like it even less.
LineBeckIV: This game is not overrated, maybe overshadowed but that's about it. I still regard this as the most solid of the Portable Zelda games, on about equal footing with Links Awakening.
blackadder88: it was the fist zelda game i dont like . 2 ds zelda game r bad

The Gamer from Mars will discuss the possibility of a Pokemon MMORPG and what the game could entail.
Darkone4587: It would be good but the amount of servers would be crazy and nintnedo has never been that good with thier servers (although they have imporved)
Moon Spirit: They already have one in the making. You just have to review all the Pokemon movies in order to get early access. Points to those who get what I say. ;)
Toxin_Polaris: Its always funny how people start talking Pokemon MMO without watching out for the Problems.
1. F2P or P2P ?
While some might say "there are people going to pay a monthly fee" you must still see and accept that the majority of Pokemon Player are Kids and those are not the best group to get for monthly fees and when going with a free to play mode? Well the Problem here is would it be with Mirco Fees like (instant 5 pokeballs 2$) or complete free to play? Either Way Nintendo and GameFreak would be stepping in a traain unkown to them and it is more likely to cost then to generate money.
2. PvE
Biggest Problem is Pokemon is awesome in Singleplayer and everything goes well with that but what about an MMO gamestyle? Most MMO´s define themself in either PvP Focus or PvE Focus (PvP later) Pokemon offers little to no places for PvE in Groups while there were some ideas like "Solve Puzzels together" Pokemon is not a Puzzler! Its more of an Hack and Slash like Diabolo you go out hit stuff and collect new Pokemon so? Should there Be Raid Boss Pokemon? but who should be allowed to catch that one? Leading to..
3.Rewards
What should be the Reward for any Doungon,Quest,Raid,Instance, whatever? Pokemon never had any kind of "Equipment System" at all true there are some little gimmicks like the Berrys and Holding but still you dont realy need to get any Armor and so on. So what should everyone get out of a Party Quest? Pokeballs? That should not be the Case because it leaves the Danger of People getting stucked because they cant get better Pokeballs to Catcher Rare Pokemon. And Rare Pokemon? Then we have the Problem that Some People wont be able to get everything or most things and remember most People playing that game would be Childrend that are not always that awesome in Group Play and still want to get that one Rare.
4.PvP
Well while the Battlesystem is alright for PvP what should be the Reason? and the Ristriction? Its not like a Match for the Sake of the Match is a Bad thing from time to Time but most people want a reason to fight other player a Reason going out there and Attack whatever Guild / Player ever so what should be the Reason? Leaderboards? Well that could be introduced in the Normal Singleplayer for an Online Mode. Again Items? What Kind? Special Pokemon? Lot of Cring Childrend again! And whatabout the Battle both fraction Agree? Kind of Fine but that like a Normal Duel in any other Game. Free Attacks? Who stops some Asshat with Awesome Pokemon Grind some Newkids, having only Margikarp because they like em, to death? Even if Pokemon get Downleveld to a Level the Region is Made for it is Most likely that the attacks still differ and make Highlevels Unbeatable.
Nah the Idea of a Pokemon MMO might sound Tempting but with the System Pokemon is now i cant see that Happen in a Good way... Still. a Full 3D Home Console Version would still Kick Major ass

CrazyDuck: I would love to see this happen. But a lot of people always say that Nintendo will never do it because the possible drop in their portable consoles sales because people will have a "final" Pokemon version.
I think I have a simple solution for that. Just make the Pokemon MMO interact with the portable games. Maybe you are able to catch certain Pokemon only in the portable games and then you can transfer them to your MMO account. Maybe by getting certain items you can get an XP boost in the MMO version. Give people that are playing the MMO a reason to still buy the portable Pokemon. I would certainly digg it ! Then you can catch & train on the go and still be making progress while not playing the MMO.
I give Nintendo permission to use this idea .... NOW MAKE A POKEMON MMO !!!

The Gamer from Mars will explain why he feels Pokemon Battle Revolution is the most disappointing game of all time.
alondite345: Try Mass Effect 3. Much more disappointing. And no, not because of the ending.
Kyris Alucard: When I bought this game, I knew exactly what I was getting... so it wasn't disappointing to me...
MagnumMagnus: Ever tried the Battle Colluseum?
MadHero15: Battle Revolution is indeed a big disappointment. It had all the tools to be Pokemon Stadium 3, Instead, if you don't own a DS with either Diamond or Pearl, the game becomes a shell of itself. And even if you have those games, its still not great.
I'd prefer a game that mixes up Colloseum (albeit if they make it more like the handheld games) and Stadium. That would be really cool, but unless Nintendo is really strapping for cash, they won't make that.
As for what game I was most disappointed by? Probably Epic Mickey, but I've revisited that game and have made amends with it. My expectation were incredibly high for that game

The Gamer from Mars will discuss his pick for the best Mario game off all time.
darkhyrulelord: I would say that SMB3 and The Thousand Year Door are my favorites, but nostalgia definitely has to play a big role in them. Great vid.
HeatBombastic: Point taken. People usually consider what they like most, or what their favorite is to be the "best". Most of the time the attractiveness to someone of a game depends on preferences, or if that person has nostalgia for it. It's kinda like watching a movie. We favorite games because it gives us what we like best, and what we want. I can believe a certain game is best, because it provides what is best for me, without complaints. Perhaps it's not better than other games, but is better for me to play it, because it gives what I want (personally) within the game. Darn it, I can't help but to paraphrase myself.
AJFay77: I completely agree that SMW is the best of the series. SMB3 was the main hook that set me up as a lifetime gamer (even though I had played the original, and tetris, and some other good NES games prior). It wasn't how much I enjoyed the game, it's that at the age of 5 or 6 I was only good enough to get to world 3 or 4 maybe, while my older sister (17 at the time) would play the game from start to finish, struggling only a little in world 8, while I would sit and watch in awe at her gaming skills.
I dreamt to be that good or better at not only that game, but every game I could get my hands on. I did eventually beat SMB3 but SMW had so much more to offer. I liked the secret exits for levels, the map/level selection of a single giant world made me feel like I really accomplished something by the time I got to Bowser. Nothing beats the first time you ditch Yoshi and save Mario when you are about to fall into a ditch. The sadness of losing Yoshi paired with the joy and amazement when you saved Mario in a last ditch (pun intended) effort. Also nothing beat the first time you mastered the flying trick, and using that to get to areas that normally you needed Yoshi or some extra blocks for made me feel like a genius at the time. The game was just so rewarding with all the little tricks there were to figure out. Also the level variety was a fun aspect that had me triple checking that I found every level in the game as they were all such a blast.
Anyway I can rant (the good kind) about SMW all day, and how much I enjoyed that game. It's honestly my #1 game ever (I am excluding racing games from that list, as I am a racecar driver in reality, so they are up by default)
Now to list all the mario games I loved/love in order....
1. Super Mario World
2. Super Mario RPG
3. Super Mario Kart (putting the franchise here, 3DS one is my fav right now despite fond
memories of the old ones)
4. Super Mario 3
5. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (yoshi game technically, yes)
6. Super Mario 64
7. Paper Mario
8. Super Mario 3D Land
9. Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
10. Dr. Mario
11. Super Smash Bros. (also not solely a mario game obviously)
12. Super Mario Bros. 2 (US version)
zomg this was a long comment (sorry lol) *edit for odd formatting...*sigh**

8thRann: I was born in 83 and got to enjoy Mario from the very start (on donkey kong haha). No but I agree, my most fond memories were with Super Mario World. SMB3 was great, but it just isn't my fave. Attack me if you will, but I loved Mario Sunshine. And I never played Galaxy, so I can't give my opinion on it. here is my list (ONLY from what I've played. NSMB games aren't very good IMO).
1.) Super Mario World
2.) Super Mario 64
3.) Mario Sunshine *dodges fruits and veggies thrown at him*
*Special Mention: Mario Land 2 (for game boy) and for some reason, I played a lot of Mario is Missing and, liked it O_O

The Gamer from Mars will try to understand why people are so intrigued with creepypasta stories. Also, Ben.
darkhyrulelord: Good video as always.
darkhyrulelord: Yeah, it is kind of a strange term.
JxL: I thought the same thing that would be hilarious.
Arkham the Phantom: I believe the term is supposed to be how pasta looks a bit like "intestines", and well... intestines are creepy when they aren't in the body.
Metroidvania98: Does not change the fact.

For an exceptional begin, a remunerating image ought to be chosen. It is plausible to see the images as they seem anyplace on the screen. Kindly note once the image develops 2-5 times, the payline will join the compensating image. Would you be able to visualize how the book of ra connected spielen will join your wages? It's no longer simply speculation once you drop in this amusement. Remember, the reward is legitimately regulated by the image itself. Thus all we can declare is come unite the amusement.

darkhyrulelord: That game does look very neat and creative yet can still be called a frogger game. I'll check it out if I get the chance! Thanks.
Fushigisaur: I am like thrilled to death right now that someone else actually played this game. So awesome, yet so obscure and underrated. You, sir, have made my day.
MagnumMagnus: So...yellow...
datadyne007: Great video. This was one of my favorite games too! Provided for countless hours of fun and was certainly a challenge. I don't play it anymore (maybe I should!), but it's still proudly displayed in my CD tower. =)

The Gamer from Mars will discuss why The Legend of Zelda series doesn't use voice actors.
ZigTheHunter: Well there's two ways around that issue, the FFX approach where all of the characters refer to the main character with a title or a common noun, which personally bugged the hell out of me. Or the FF Tactics war of the Lions approach where characters just use the default name in voiced dialogue regardless of what name you give the main character, I would prefer this option.
darkhyrulelord: Yeah, I do think that having other characters other than Link to have voice acting would be a good idea. I hope that Ganondorf has an awesome voice...
Also, don't forget about....well....Other M. The Zelda Cartoons I don't think were bad....just OK. I think they did OK with what they knew about the Zelda universe back then.
Also, don't forget about....well....Other M. The Zelda Cartoons I don't think were bad....just OK. I think they did OK with what they knew about the Zelda universe back then.
MagnumMagnus: A minor additional reason may have to do with Link's name being changable at the beginning of each game.
Kinda hard to address your main character when his name isn't always the same.
Kinda hard to address your main character when his name isn't always the same.
CrazyDuck: This is exactly what I have commented on many posts & videos as well. The Gordon Freeman approach like you said.
Everybody has an idea for Link's voice because we have all played as him. For a character this old there probably never will be a right voice. Especially since it's one we have been playing as for so long. Leaving Link voiceless will make players relate to him more, you "become" Link as you are playing him. Now especially Skyward Sword showed that it's time for all the other characters to start speaking. I really like the fact that it was one of the first Zelda's were you really felled pressed to get to the next are because you were always a few steps behind Zelda & Ghirahim. But there was SO much text. It really felt like it would have been that bit more natural if the inhabitants of Hyrule could do more than grunt and hum.

LineBeckIV: I honestly don't understand the "can't imagine yourself as Link" argument, Zelda games have very little choice in how you go about playing them compared to most Sandbox and RPGs. When you play a Zelda game you're taking on the role of the hero of hyrule and you are playing through HIS SPECIFIC role in the story, not yours, plain and simple.

The Gamer from Mars will talk about Valve's track record of not making 3rd installments in their franchises.
xTrogdorx: I stand by my conclusion that Valve hasn't produced Episode 3 / HL3 because they wrote themselves into a corner. At the end of Ep. 2, Gordon Freeman is supposed to fly a helicopter to the north pole or something, and there is zero reason for us to believe that Gordon or Alex how to fly a helicopter, let alone fly it halfway across the world. And even if they could, how would they avoid getting shot down by the Combine's crapton of gunships?
DiduhlehSquatt: No no silly, Thats Sentry Level 2 Episode 1
darkhyrulelord: Perhaps they can't count to three since any third installment would be too great for a human to withstand?
fpsbcheezit: Don't assume I dislike them. I don't, but on the whole, your videos are a waste of time. Is that not the point of them?
bjncube: IP stands for intellectual property. I thought that was one of the most obvious known facts especially in the gaming industry!! It's hard to take someone even remotely seriously if they talk about a company's "intelligent" property. It's like listening to someone's opinion about Shakespeare then then slip in there, "Oh and Romeo was a Jedi."

The Gamer from Mars will discover why Earthbound and its prequel/sequel haven't made it to the Virtual Console.
darkhyrulelord: I think Nintendo actually WAS trying to release this onto the Virtual Console since the game got an ESRB rating but I think they backed out after they realized how much work it would be to change the game to be more court-friendly.

300firestarters: I'm not saying your topics are too "mainstream", just that people who end up watching your summaries already know what you're going to be talking about. This can be attributed by how you name your video's. For example, "what happened to earth bound?" to where a viewer would go "WHAT? something happened to earthbound! lets just check and see..." The same can be said for "why Slenderman isn't scary" (especially that one) and any video with "Theory" at the end. They all give it a mysterious ring to it, so it attracts people who people who like "X" will go and think "X? I like X. I wonder what this video is about!" That's what i don't like about your video's, they're misleading and generally boring. But hey, other people do, so that's a good thing.
Also, i can look at the title and get the gist of it, so in truth i don't watch your videos.

I don't think the Coldplay Theory Holds up at all. Just listening to the two songs, They sound nothing alike. The fact that they sound alike when played together is an audio trick on your mind. For proof of this, I refer you to GameTrailer's Pop Fiction episode about Totaka's Song: http://www.gametrailers.com/full-episodes/aigzia/pop-fiction-episode-21-...
Some of the other Theories seem plausible, but the fact that you don't provide any Real evidence to them seems to make them weak. Sorry, man, but keep it up. I see this having potential.
