please send this to every moderator you know Everyone I would like to address a problem that's been going on with a certain person here on screwattack.com. Everyone knows this site is about having friendly interactions about video games and questioning other people if you are not to sure about something. A user named "Showzilla" interfered with that rule. Someone named "Your God" wanted to express his feelings about a "Death Battle"("Goku vs Superman") by showing people proof on what could of happened. He told everyone about it but he did this by spamming which wasn't good. But "Showzilla" did something you might know to be considered as "Trolling". "Showzilla" called "Your God" names such as "childish" and "your a f***ing idiot" which took it way too far. Then "Showzilla" started spamming as well which was pretty immature instead of stopping. These comments were hurtful for even me, "Showzilla" had his information wrong as well like "Goku can't blow up a planet" with no proof but saying "Superman could beat Goku", but "Your God" responded with saying "Freeza can blow up a planet, he blow up planet Vegeta and Goku is much stronger than Freeza." this was true because Goku was doing good in the battle with Cell here:http://youtu.be/MsFd-cdguKM and Gohan was doing good in the battle with Cell when it was his turn here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLwfFJFBKgE then when Freeza came back in "Fusion Reborn" Gohan smoked him as a adult and every DBZ fan knows Gohan got weaker when he grow up to become an adult so he stopped training so he could focus more on school, here is the link for Gohan destroying Freeza:http://youtu.be/0yMw_V3nXkA. "Showzilla than started mocking "Your God" by saying "Oh, would it make you feel better if I said Goku could beat Batman?" then "Your God" showed "Showzilla" this:http://www.screwattack.com/news/death-battle-erred-goku-vs-superman about 7 or 10 or more pages of proof`. Then"Showzilla" brang up how Galactus could blow up a planet which was totally out of the picture. This turned into a hurtful and a raging warfare was created. It's like the saying, "It doesn't matter who started it, I'm going to end it". I'm not saying that "Your God" was doing something right, it was actually pretty immature but "Your God" shouldn't of got banned any more than "Showzilla". Then "Showzilla" got a friend on screwattack.com to write a blog about what "Your God" said. This was correct but "Showzilla" was doing about as much bad things (if not more) as "Your God". Finally getting "Your God" banned from screwattack.com. Now, "Your God" just wanted to express his opinion towards a Death Battle and another person named "Showzilla" trying to correct him at first I thought but then seeing what he did, swearing, "Trolling", using harmful language, spamming and banning. "Showzilla" was breaking the official screwattack.com rules which are right here:"PLEASE DON'T BE A DICK Don't go starting flame wars, refrain from the personal attacks, and insults don't help anything. If someone is being the aforementioned dick, don't be a dick in return. If someone is trolling, DON'T FEED THE TROLL. Try to keep things civil, and if someone can't play nice, let one of our Admins or Moderators know." "Showzilla" put FIRE ON FIRE, if he wasn't posting those mean and hurtful comments then "Your God" would never have gotten made too. "Showzilla" never tried to make peace either which is a big thing when you get in this much of a fight. Please everyone, those comments could be really hurtful to the wrong person "Showzilla" has to be banned for what he has done, stop it before another person becomes a victim, what "Showzilla" said would make any Goku fan cry, please and thank you, ban "Showzilla".

THEY CHANGE THE HAIR COLOR!!!!??? I WAS TRICKED!!! I SUE YOU!!!
darkhyrulelord: A disclaimer would probably the only thing changed. Although, it may cause demo creators to be a little more honest without false advertising....or at least that's wishful thinking.
The Guardian: Wait, so this is the point where you call for standards?
tricobalt: All they need to do is put a disclaimer on the demos/previews so they can't be sued. Plus the specific purpose of a demo is to show people what is in the game.
3DMaster: Defective is if the game doesn't work properly. If it does nothing but crash, if features don't function, like multiplayer with the latest Star Trek game. The other is, when the claims made about a product by the company, in no way shape or form resemble the actual product. You're allowed to exaggerate in commercials and publicity; you aren't allowed to outright lie. For example; you cannot say that your product cleans wood, when it in fact harms wood. Similarly, if you explicitly state the ending will not be reduced to option a. b. and c.; and then it does end in option a. b. and c., without you making clear and public the game changed and that it does do so; you should be considered in breach.
TheMikko: Well then the question becomes "when is a game defenctive?". Is it defective if it wasn't what you expected or what you were hoping for? Where's the line on that drawn?

Is Kickstarter the game publisher of the future?
Screwy1: SUPER MULIT PARAGRAPH FUN TIME GOOOO~!
Is Kickstarter the game publisher of the future? Yes & no. Guys who have already made it big? No. Indie guys trying to get their foot in the door? Yes. With the internet the way it is (social media sites, intercommunication among multiple electronic devices etc) I personally think that indie productions are going to be something of a savior for gamers if not the gaming industry (in a manner of speaking ^^).
It's easy to look at the big names & poke fun a re-release after re-release but at the end of the day we buy those games. Meanwhile there are other, passionate, dedicated individuals attempting to make fresh & original titles, unmotivated by things like profit margin, fiscal this or quarterly that. Thanks to Kickstarter & the ever growing awareness of it these people have a chance to be seen & heard.
As a bonus we gamers get to make our voice heard & say "YES! I like this! I want to see MORE of this, not that!" thus giving us something new to enjoy while also hoping the big boys in the industry take notice (And in an ideal world they take notice by giving jobs to the people who made a game on a laptop in a one room apartment ^^)

darkhyrulelord: Kickstarter only works for non-AAA companies. It might be very successful now, but you have to remember that a good number of games don't get the funds backed up for it.
Double-T: Completely 100% agree
HybridRain: ^This and it is true. It is a necessary evil.
HybridRain: I hope the big companies don't start exploiting this. :/

Is a game unsuccessful when it sells +2.5 million copies? Really?!
darkhyrulelord: I think that companies need to learn that, to make a game that will exceed expectations in prices, it must exceed expectations of your own. In other words, don't just find the comfortable 8 hour campaign shooter game just to get your cash in---you need to pour everything you have into it in order for it to massively succeed.
darkhyrulelord: That pretty much sums it up.
UltimateSaiyan: Time to get to the sad truth.
No matter how you look at it Tomb Raider was an amazing game, but it was released WAY to late.
After playing Uncharted and Tomb Raider the fact is unfortunately it brought nothing new that Uncharted didn't do for three games. I'm not saying Uncharted was better, hell Laura came way before Drake and set the stage for those types of games, Tomb Raider was freakin awesome.
What I'm saying this game didn't appeal to the gaming market because of Uncharted, because Uncharted already did this time of amazing graphics, 3D, action-adventure game 3 times, before Tomb Raider 2013. By the time Tomb Raider finally was released the world was done with these type of Action - Adventure games, and Tomb Raider faced the repercussions of it.
If Tomb Raider was released before Uncharted then you can bet your ass it would of sold in the triple digit millions, but sadly the world was done with these type of Action-Adventure 3D games and TR suffered for it.
It's sad.

Evil Ivan: Console publishers become far too dependent on the Triple-A market.
Releasing Triple-A games gets more expensive every fiscal quarter.
Perverse incentives drive odious business practices. Fans grumble.
Sales targets shoot up and beyond anything remotely close to reason.
Economies continue their decline. Discretionary income evaporates.

Mcgunn: HybridRain's awesome video feels like the right place to unleash my thoughts. So excuse the giant comment:
When it comes to Tomb Raider specifically. I rented the game. It's freaking amazing! It goes so much further than Uncharted did even if it is totally inspired by it. I think the game is good enough to sell 15 million copies. However, it takes a powerful franchise that everyone is excited for to sell like that. Tomb Raider hasn't had a great game in a looong time. Probably since Tomb Raider 4 for Dreamcast. The cost of acquiring that IP and making that incredible game was probably GARGANTUAN, so selling a huge number of copies is probably necessary if Square wants to start making a next-gen one. I'm glad they went all out on the game, because honestly, while the world of BioShock Infinite was the biggest artistic achievement in gaming.....Tomb Raider is funner to me, I'd hate to admit it. I don't think it was reviewed fairly ANYWHERE just because nobody wanted cheesy Lara Croft to succeed on a grand scale. Square's issue with this one is that the story can be beaten in a rental period, and the online sucks. No economical reason for me to buy it.

Actually... I don't blame the people on this one, we dodge a bullet with the PS4 and now Micro$oft throws this at us?
TheMikko: I've not heard any rumors of a high price point, on the contrary, I HAVE heard that by releasing the Nextbox and a backwards compatibility enabling device separately they're cutting back on the Nextbox's price. And according to the same rumor it's the later device that will require to be hooked up to the net to work, not the console itself.
lackofsense: An always online console or game is effectively worthless in the long run.
Sckarton: the PS4 does have blocked used games but it's up to the publishers to do it (similar to the online pass this gen). so, screw the nextbox and ps4, i'll stick with my wii u and pc.
Korahn: It would be bad but remember, they said the same thing about the PS4 until Sony debunked it during their press conference.
If MS does make the next console online-only, I'll probably forgo it and just get the PS4. I mean, yes, I have a decent internet connection but it does go out occasionally and so does xbox live. Perhaps if they made live gold free then I'd reconsider but still doubtful. Besides, had a PS2, then an xbox 360 - I think it's time to alternate again anyway.

HybridRain: Oh there is a clusterf*ck of rumors right now, but yeah we won't be able to confirm or deny anything until the conference. I really hope the price is nothing near the 600 dollars. I hope unless they ahve like an UNLEASHED EDITION.

Are Pre-Orders harming the gaming industry?
darkhyrulelord: Great vid Hybrid! The last time I preordered something was Skyward Sword since I rarely ever have the money to afford new games on day 1. Unless I absolutely need a game on day 1, then I won't do it. This happens extremely rarely for me.
Gaijin Goombah: After being HORRIBLY disappointed with Mirror of Fate, and getting utterly screwed by a distributor for MH3U, I am never pre-ordering again, and until my dying breath I will encourage people to do the same.
King Meatball I: Rarely pre-order games but when I do its never because of the goodies and instead because I really wanted the game and know I'm going to enjoy it.
The only pre-orders that might be "harmful" are those that blatantly give an unfair advantage for online play on Day One or as early access before anyone else.

Xaxal Eternitum: After Colonial Marines (Didn't pre-order it), I've decided to not pre-order games unless I can be certain that they will be to my liking. If I want a collector's edition, I could always back order it from Amazon or Ebay. Sure, it will be more expensive, but at least I can ascertain the quality of the game.
My recent pre-orders of Crysis 3 and Bioshock Infinite won't disappoint, based on my plays of Crysis and based on the fact that Infinite has consistently garnered perfects as far as reviews are concerned.

NemesisTrestkon: I only pre-order games on the PC because I can actually get to play it ahead of the rest without the need of going through long ass lines via the pre-load system that Steam and Battle.net provides. And even then, I had to do some extensive research as to what type of game I SHOULD pre-order rather than relying on blind fanboy faith. Whether the incentive would involve beta access or some really neat tidbits like awesome skins.
