Five years after its predecessor, GRID 2 hits the track with a few upgrades meant to challenge the sim-racer big dogs. Unfortunately, Codemaster's latest racer isn't quite firing on all cylinders.

To boldly go where no man has gone before? Hardly...
the dnastyestgamer: is it just me or does sam's review picture look like an out dated porn star
Iron65: This is dissapointing. i never watched or played any star trek movies and I came wanted to try this game... shame shame on the devs
Sean Capdeville: Wait, are you being serious? JJ had literally NO influence over this game.
joeshadowman: And this was a game I was looking forward to. Thank you JJ for not giving a fugs.
darkhyrulelord: I like your review style for this review. No game is complete without an obligatory water level. Also, this game doesn't sound too great either. Shame, it has a lot of potential with the source material.

The best $40 iOS game that ever slipped into a disk drive...
joohn26: I appreciate your way of sharing ideas to people. Zigmz5
Mass Distraction: Oh hell naw, I thought of that exact video the instant I saw iOS being mentioned here :D
darkhyrulelord: There was probably much more effort put into this review than into the game.
Fish_Outta_Hell: Waste of time game and movie series
Down With OPC: Fast and Furious: Shaqdown

Revelations was great in the palm of your hand. Does it translate well to the big screen?
CondorK: already own the 3DS version, absolutely love it, only sad no DLC was released for it, I would've bought it in an instant. A few issues in regards to the review: The story isn't impossible to follow, its actually really simple if you just listen to it, voice acting was never a problem for me, if this is bad then what is good?
What I don't understand is how a port of the same great game can be so bad?
It reminds me of the Tales of the Abyss 3DS review that seemed to hate everything about the game, it was the same as the PS2 version and it was a great game, I still play it to this day

TheGreatJoshini: Okay, I don't get how you guys can hate on this console port. It is pretty much exactly the same as the 3DS version. The only thing changed was the bonus game modes they added. So how in the fricken hell can you tell me that you like the 3DS version if you're saying that you don't like this version? Both versions are the same. You are freaking retarded if you don't like this version but do like the 3DS version. The console version only made the game better.
KikReask: Already got it on the 3DS, easily the best Resi Evil since 4, but I don't need to play it on consoles its good enough on the handheld.
Kenshiro3: the 360 Demo is the same demo as the 3DS... and the demo was absolute shit. The game however was fricken awesome.
dadajo: LOL. Just bought the 3ds version for $18. I think I'll be okay for awhile.

This little puzzler will get your 3DS moving for a pretty low price!
Slayer478: Nice review Sean as always! The Mario vs. Donkey Kong series has always been pretty solid.
zgamer007: This game looks a lot like old school games like Centuri's Loco-Motion & Bullet Proof Software's Pipe Dream.
Museyfied: Wow, did NOT expect this to get such a good score. May have to check this out now.
TTUdrummer: I'm here cause Sean twittered about it
darkhyrulelord: This game is only $10 and it has a bunch of content? This almost sounds like a keeper. Nice review, Sean!

So, you're wondering if this is the game for you eh comrade? Well come in and let me tell you about it.
darkhyrulelord: Sam's Russian accent made this review. This game does look rather good looking in terms of graphics and such. It doesn't look like anything too different, but it still looks like fun.
ItalianHardcoreGamer: I hate dlc and I don't have my xbox connected to the internet, and I don't want to, I just connect it when there's dashboard updates, so screw this game and all the companies that remove parts of games you already paid for, I'll never buy this and it's a shame, because I would if it was complete.
Clauricaune: Amazing game.
Clauricaune: 7/10 from the community? That DLC thing really screwed up the opinions on this game.
PhantomExdeath: Haha man Sam popping out the russian accent reminds me of Sidescrollers Theatre they did a few weeks back.

While arcades have been in decline in most of the world, they keep on going in Japan. 100 Yen: The Japanese Arcade Experience gives viewers a good look into the history of the Japanese arcade, what made them so popular, and how they've kept going.
CrazyDuck: Some people have already said it here but there were a lot of pachinko and ufo machines in the arcades (I went to Akihabara for my arcade fill :) )
Never the less in Belgium there are maybe 1-2 arcades and they are mostly old racing games and a few shooters. I found Street fighter, KoF, rythm games (played a taiko drum game with my sister :) ) and SO much more. So I still loved it and wished there was something like that here because I got to play a Gundam game with some Japanese there and was glued to the screen for about 45 minutes. Then I did not have any credits left and my sister wanted to move on. So I would go back there in a heartbeat OR have an arcade club near me because it was such a blast & cool.

darkhyrulelord: I don't have much knowledge on this, but it might be worth checking out.
Sens Enforcer: I'm on vacation in Tokyo right now and went to Akihabara and I think that arcade units are being phased out. I went to Club Sega and they have rows and rows of claw machines, but you actually have to put in effort to find a Street Fighter cabinet. Pachinko is also VERY big in Japan and have really overtaken arcades here, there are 5 or 6 pachinko places around my hotel and I'm in Shinagawa, which isn't a huge gaming area, at least not like Akihabara.
From what I've seen, I think arcades are on a decline in Japan and whether pachinko is a fad or here to stay, it is definately taking business away from traditional arcades.

Xaxal Eternitum: On this side of the Pacific (Philippines) arcades are doing pretty well due to our average income not being comparable to the more developed countries. I've also seen a number of arcades in Hong Kong, though I suspect those are doing well/ok because people spend more time outside of their homes.
Battleiguana: Yeah knowing the business it is only successful for like amusement parks or amusement places(go karts, water parks, etc). Plus it is a risky business since it can cost thousands just for one machine. Your right though people do not appreciate arcade or pinball machines anymore.

A much needed breath of fresh air in mobile gaming.
darkhyrulelord: This game looks like fun. The baddies look like those shadow bush creatures in Donkey Kong Country Returns.
mrshinz: This looks so cool - I'm definitely going to try it out! Thanks for the review!!
Janos: I really feel like a LOT of games are taking this graphical style where everything in the foreground including enemies and objects are mostly black while the backgrounds presents different colors.
Then again, I never get tired of the style, and that alone intrigues me into playing these types of games.
I may have to give this game a try.

To be honest, I'd rather not...
darkhyrulelord: The art styles definitely feel jarring and....this game doesn't look fun. Thanks for the review Sean!
dbzfanboy-press...: If there was some sort of code that allows that, It would make me slightly more motivated to get it lol.
dbzfanboy-press...: At least you've got Malon and Ruto lol
And how sad is it that the fishing mechanics are better in a game that's like 15 years old? lol

gact: That makes me a little mad, they localize games that clearly wont work here but they refuse to do the same with RPGs and some plataformers that look very good and creative
Bamahut: they should just make them naked, it would make this game worth buying.

Shit’s creek without a paddle.
Dgat19: I have no problem targeting Comic Gems ahaha, you're very welcome.
Envy_Dub: ...And people thought the first one was bad. Lol!
darkhyrulelord: I like your ending statement there. lol Also, I probably should leave this game alone.
Lauren Moore: I'm all a-flutter that someone noticed my sole contribution as editor. Thank you.
Dgat19: "he enjoys taking emotive black and white self portraits." ahahhahahah

The controls are WAYY to TOUCH-CHAAYYY!!! just a lil push to the right and you'll go right...INTO A WALL!!!....
the progression is just a joke, Drifting is a joke, and for anyone who loves sims...three's no cockpit (I originally was gonna look past this one but I'm not immersed, Bonnet cam is not really enough...) sigh..At least EA's Shift (2) get's that right. Oh however the game now includes Pit Stops and Indy Car. But It's still Not enough to impress me...
Bottomline As far as car porn goes I'd give Shift2, GT5 (GT6!?) , and Forza (not so much Horizon...) a chance before I give Grid a chance. Maybe If they "Patch" things up a bit , It'll be come playable and I might enjoy it. Sorry to pull an Xplay.... but this get's a 4.5 and a F--- it...for now (If it were Xplay for real then 3(or 2) out of 5)
