The chaps play the new DMC demo and react like rational people... just 99% of the internet.
MagnumMagnus: I'm not buying DMC because:
-The overall changes to Dante and Vergil as characters is insulting
-It thinks having characters swear every other word and using the 'evil corporate world' cliche makes them more mature
-The project head is an arrogant douche
-I'm boycotting Capcom until Mega Man gets his due
-I have better things to spend my money on.
Gameplay was great otherwise.

Tom the Iron Man: Their (possessive) point, not there (location). I'm not trying to sound like a douche, I'm just trying to impart the correct usage.
How is not going to fly? Sure I was surprised at the character redesign, but I have faith in the developer making the game that they're not going to betray us and give us an unworthy title. People freaked out when Wind Waker was first revealed because it was cell-shaded instead of gunning for a realistic art style and it ended up being one of the best games in the Zelda franchise as a result. Based on what Ninja Theory has shown being at the helm this is going to be the kind of thing to give fans of the series a breath of fresh air.
DMC1 - fresh and new
DMC2 - a trainwreck with a director that his only previous experience was devloping a Sudoku game
DMC3 - an invigorating prequel that gave us new gameplay styles and more backstory to Vergil
DMC4 - a new character Nero with new abilities and enhanced and tweaked gameplay mechanics for Dante, like being able to change stances on the fly rather than FORCING you to pick one at the beginning of the level like in DMC3
After DMC4 what could they do to avoid the series from being stagnat and going down the road of mediocrity that God of War has been on for it's last 4 titles (yes I'm including the PSP ones)? A fresh start with a reinterpretation of the central themes is a great way to go if they can't find a MEANINGFUL way to expand the story after the events of Devil May Cry 4.
Give it a fair shake when it comes out, I know this is all subjective to opinion but I'm giving it a fair and balanced approach.

pre10do64: You're right about all of that except for the part where you said the writing and direction of Other M were the worst parts. Metroid is my fav franchise(own them all) and I had no problem with that stuff. The combat was fine, but only sadly not great. The worst part of that game was the fact that it had no sense of exploration like a Metroid game should. It was always telling you what to do and where to go. You can't get lost playing it. All the secret stuff to collect is super easy to find and get to. I beat it with 100% in 7 hours. Shortest, most boring (except maybe Metroid 2) Metroid game I ever played. That was the worst part about that game.
They Call Me Th...: Nice PSA, mates...
AgentKane: I have never been a fan of Devil May Cry especially after Devil May Cry 4 recycled half the game for you. That said this reboot is much needed as it keeps the gameplay and adds in a fresh take on the world. The setting is amazing. If you are staying away from this reboot just because it isn't the same Dante and I'll be honest, the old Dante was just as annoying as the new one then make a fanfic of the old Dante.

Having seen the trailer for World War Z (you can see it here: http://youtu.be/HcwTxRuq-uk but don't blame us for it) Paul and Steve have a discussion about zombies, and how Hollywood movies are in no way FUCKING UP ZOMBIES FOR EVERYONE.
BenNiGeLing: My friend and I recently talked about that trailer. She didn't read the books so she didn't understand why I was so upset about it, since the trailer by itself, I'll admit, is actually alright. I told her to imagine the entire cast of Star Wars being replaced with Jarjar Bings. She now understands the pain I feel.
Museyfied: I kind of agree. Love the show so far, but this was a little too much build up for the ending. :)
CursedSeishi: Heh, guess you guys passed over the Uwe Boll zombie flick huh? And I don't mean the House of the Dead shitfest!

Don't blame you though, that thing gets it so messed up that even I don't know where to begin! And I mean just talking about the characters that pop up in it, the zombies are a whole other tub of lardass lazy glaze.

Gaarathedancingpanda: Not to be the "debbie Downer" here, but I felt like that was an absurdly long set-up with not much of a pay-off. The dialogue also felt a bit stilted at times, but it really wasn't bad enough to bother me, so the second point is meh.
Tom the Iron Man: I approve of this
