Join these colorful warriors as they search for the elusive Demon Blade...
OmegaSoldierX: I've heard about Muramasa: The Demon Blade for the Wii before. So, is this a sequel to the first game, or a complete overhaul of the orignial?
Zetra3: but you can't just make an assumption like that, im not trying to be an ass about it. But it never that simple. It's no Mario Galaxy 2 for sure but it takes alot more then you think a Sprite game should.. hell it blew my mind back in the day when i did my research a few years back about Blazblue
Blue Madness: Well, excuse me if I'm not some wicked-cultured know-it-all. No, I don't know a thing about game design, not hardware-wise at least. Or about hardware overall. What I say is what I see, and Muramasa just doesn't look that demanding.
Zetra3: You've never researched Game Design, have you?
just cause a game is Sprite based, does not mean it takes less processing power.
Remember that game has to run it's Resolution at 480p constant, MAINTAIN at least a 30-60fps. process enemies, effects, characters, animations, backgrounds, sound. All which takes CPU, GPU AND RAM. For example. Just running this game EVEN AS A SPRITE GAME, you would have to sacrafice the entire background, or all the special affects to run at 3DS ram level if not more. you know what happens when you run out of ram? Your game slowly dies going from 60FPS down to 0 in a slow death.. that's what happened to ps3 users on Skyrim. The animation Quality, the special affects, even the character sprites are so details or in 3D.. it takes ALOT for the system to use.
Even if the game does not use ALL the CPU and GPU, it does require 512 of ram, it was BUILT with 512 ram in mind.

The next installment in the XCOM franchise may require more strategy than other shooters...
Tom the Iron Man: This looks 100% better than what we saw when it was first announce.
Double-T: You do have a valid point, and I'm all for trying new styles. But changing to a completely new style from a series that is already establish as something else can and usually is a major risk. And more often then not, that risk fails. Good example: Halo Wars. You want to change from turned based strat to a 3rd person game, I'm all for it. But as I said, it needs to have something major to get my attention, and justify the change.
Heck as a stand alone game it does look interesting, but not enough to have the name "X-Com" attached to it.

vinicius fatality: I agree.Even if it have the Xcom name,it is not a Xcom game.Think more has a origins of the hole thing.Xcomis the base. For this fell like ahs a origins story of the Organization,so much that is called the Bureau, Xcom desclassified. And is nice you try something diferent,i mean game companies does that all the time. What do you think wuold happend if capcom only made figther, and nothing more?
Arthur: Ya ya.. old/bad meme. I get it. funny funny (Really at the time it was funny watching Spoony go crazy over this) But really this is not a betrayal but and expansion of the X-Com universe. Is it really a bad thing for a franchise to branch out and explore new genres? We see it all the time and get some great games from it. So don't write it off since it is not an RTS. Let's wait until the game comes out before passing final judgement.
The footage from E3 made it look like it would have had the same kind of vibe as BioShock and that was a good thing. It seamed pretty atmospheric with tons of "holy shit what was that" moments.
I think moving it to 3rd person was a bad idea because all of the immersion is gone now. it's one thing to watch a portal open up and eat people in 3rd person but seeing it in first person right up in your face is another. Hopefully you can switch back and forth but I doubt it at this point.

Double-T: Unless they show me something that completely bows my away, this game will always stand as: BETRAYAL!"

"The streets are littered with cyber shit"...
darkhyrulelord: This needs to be a movie.
PineyCreek: Awesome. Even had sharks with frikkin' laser beams.
E-GAG101: Dang I wish youtube still had Tape Mode
Icipall: So he is the prophecy, but is he also...The Law?
CursedSeishi: I think it might be a little disingenuous to call "Blood Dragon" DLC when the game is a standalone title. Its obvious from the major distinction in tone, and all the two games really share is similar gameplay mechanics.
I mean sure, its Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, but the similarities practically end at that. A preference for one or the other is bound to happen when you compare this Straight-to-VHS love letter to the 80s to a rather serious, if sometimes trippy, jaunt through islands rife with madmen.

Battlefield will be the premiere FPS of 2033...
Molmoran: I'm looking forward to Battlefield 22 most of all.
tricobalt: Battlefield 20 coming to the PS10 and Xbox2880 fall of 2057. Preorder today!
Xaxal Eternitum: EA getting overwhelmed sounds like a bitch you hate getting raped.
Edesome: I guess. I would just find it amusing to see how far EA or the community goes in the number of domains for Battlefield.
CaztheGamerGuy: My guess is the same amount Marvel went to: 2099. Or they could just crash and burn before that happens, either way, it's a bit odd to hear about this, isn't it?

If only this were a real thing that I could point and click in...
curlyhair0000: That was... uhh.... interesting. So Lucas Arts made all those point and click adventure games, huh? Nice.
-Mazer: Not bad but it didn't need the cussing. Why is it whenever anyone makes a parody, they need to add unnecessary cussing that is out of character? It's just lazy writing/humor. Also, a bit tired of people blaming Disney for destroying these characters. It's not like LucasArt has done anything with the Point and Click genre outside of the MI HD remakes.

Ubisoft's return to the franchise is suitably violent.

Because pretty soon, they will cease to exist without your help...
Fiery_Elf: I buy my games new... 2 years later when it's 20$ though.
ushclabla: Gamestop seems to be doing pretty fine so I don't get what the problem is. If you like a game, wouldn't you want to support the developers to create better future games? Which means buying games new? (The game over thinker).
If you ask me, gamestop feels more like a monopoly. I would rather support the developers creating the games (buying new) rather then gamestop who simply sells them.
After learning that the money from buying used games from gamestop DOES NOT go to the developers but rather to gamestop themselves, I usually check other stores first whether they have the games im looking for (new copies). If not, then I just go to gamestop to look for new copies. If they still don't have it, then I have no other choice but to settle for a used copy if found.
So what im basically getting from this video is...'We're gamestop. And we want your money that should have gone to the original developers instead. Buy our shit used!' Funny video though.

Deathbringersora: I like gamestop, they aren't as bad as people say. Actually people just like to agree with the general opinion on the internet, as long as you only buy new there isn't a problem. It is a fact that people will buy used if given the option, these kind of people are to blame not gamestop. Also, a location to buy OLD used games that are no longer being sold as new is a great thing.
hazelnut1112: Plus a few customers who had bad experiences through some stuck up asshole employees. Some, not all. I been to a few where some employees were pretty cool as hell.
ilikegamesandcr...: I can't afford new games easily either. i have to save up or wait till the price drops by sometimes half. i'd rather buy games from Amazon, Best Buy or the games publisher's online store. My online connection speed is also shitty .. i can't play certain games online because of the slow speed.. not that i play online games very often or anything.. been at least 3 months since i have.

Arguably one of the franchise's greatest features is being resurrected.
blackmaniac: But here's hoping they don't destroy balance it like they did in Chaos Theory (last Splinter Cell I played). I mean, spies die if they jump onto a tazed enemy, because in the original every spy taze jumped mercs.
blackmaniac: HOLY BALLS YES!
Crichton: Hmm this looks interesting... i loved this in Double Agent...
Spy kills Merc.
No. Just No. That removes the tension of playing spy. I.E the best part of it. Fuck.

On another note, does anyone else feel kind of bummed out that the court walls have been colored dark grey now since Apollo Justice? I know it's more realistic, but the pixelated yellowness of previous AA games just had that sort of..atmosphere to it. I can't really explain it, but it made me take cases more seriously.
