Does Cristal Dynamics risk of rebooting the franchise worth the risk, or a risk that should have been lost at sea?

While the game itself was OK, Resident Evil 5 was primed to be something else and this was what I thought it would go.
ncsu11ddr: I want the Cache Cases back from RE4. I hated the inventory system in RE5.
frankhaggar972: I think it can be pretty hard to do both a Re4 style control scheme and classic Resident Evil with the camera being very specific. It effects how the levels are designed and seing how Capcom is at it´s best when they do one thing well at a time. I do like the idea that Leon and Barry have uniqe levels to them, would making re-playing the game more fun.

It may not be QUITE over, but here's some of my favorite new IPs of this generation.
Dark Magician: I'd trade Alan Wake for Vanquished. Here is hoping Sega gets Platinum Games to make a sequel.
frankhaggar972: Uncharted 3 will for sure stick with my memory as a great adventure. Magicka is a great new ip that trys something complex yet fun to newcomers. Thats my ip of the decade. Darksiders is a amazing though...

Assassin's Creed III is the biggest game in the series, does it rise up to the challenge, or falls faster than a redcoat?

The Guardian: I have a friend who bought it day 1 and is loving it so far. He hasn't really run into the problems that you talked about, like the long load, but he hasn't been able to play very much either.

How do you make a sequel that is better than the original in nearly every way? Like this.

Noble Team 1: I say Mass Effect wasn't a great as the first game as it got rid of so many mechanics I liked from the first game, but portal 2 I will agree with you,
Though I would Super Mario Galaxy would be here as that game truly built upon the first game and improve on it, but that's my own bias, but cool list.
