The Final Round for the Titanium Man of Flash Gaming 4 awaits!! Who will rise to the top??
OGCombos: So yea had some computer problems over the past week and now I'm only starting now. This is going to be painful to try.
East Gold: All the score main says is how many times you died. And the lowest score is 0. Meaning someone beat the game without dying. It unfortunately doesn't tell you your time. And don't be sorry. For a game about failure and regret, I'm having a surprisingly good time with it.
CraigGame: I think you have to register on Armour Games, then view the local scores via the menu. I myself apologise for this since it was me that suggested the game via twitter and didn't realise that an account was necessary.
Wildman93: im baaaaaccck mwhahahahahah
East Gold: Okay thanks.

The penultimate round in the TMoFG4 is here! Only the strongest of the strong can move on from here!
DRQ: karaoke party was my sugestion
darkhyrulelord: MWAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!
darkhyrulelord: Yep.
darkhyrulelord: The final round will be round 10. As for it being special.....we shall see. Depends on how much time I have.
Simply get the highest score you can on Accelerator (which you will mostly play on easy).

OGCombos: I hate shapes soooooooooooooo much right now. Those squares is like Russian roulette, more less a pain in the ass.

The eighth round has come! As we near the final rounds, who comes out on top?
Wildman93: yeah the lag could hurt at times but there it was a blessing. As for this round, while the first life tends to be most important, as long as you have bombs left a well timed strike on a cluster of enemies can get you close to maxing on your other lives. also ive noticed that when it comes to leveling up its not how many you give but the value of them that is important. If you are coming off a new life, 1 blue is enough for the first weapon level. Missiles can track you but are vulnerable to your bullets. Black bullets arnt however and should be dodged or bombed. Thats a cool thing about the special, it can be used offensively to rack up a large multiplier, or used right before an inescapable wave of bullets hurdles toward you. i usually save bombs for the latter, max weapon is powerful enough but sometimes there are things you just cant seem to avoid.
werdman24: That's okay man. You got quite far in this competition. Take the time you need to prepare for SGC.
CraigGame: Ironically, it was the lag that helped me clear that level :P
Oh, and you can 2-bomb at the start of a new life and should get you maxed out. Useful, since you get an extra bomb once you hit max level. You won't notice it at first since you start off at the maximum stock.
Nevertheless, the whole 'one life' thing was exactly the reason why I chose this game. A worthwhile challenge for this tournament. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon >:D

Whatthefnu: Sorry guys, but with the announcement that SGC is opening up free space for indie developers, I need to get a build of my game done faster than ever. With the amount of work I'm gonna have to put into it to make that happen in time, a weekly competition that demands this much time and effort just isn't in the cards.
A Zero 2 Hero: The reason I hated Level 94 of BR-5:SYN, was because there seemed to be too much happening on the screen between me, the lit fuse, and the moving blue block. It would cause my browser to slow down extremely, making piloting my ball around nearly impossible. The only reason I beat the game was because...I can't believe I'm saying this, but because I used Internet Explorer instead.
Word of advice for Round 8: If you somehow die later on in the game, your other lives are good as screwed due to how incapable the Level 1 blaster is, especially at crowd control. You could use bombs in the center of a populated spot to nag some enemies to upgrade it a bit, but even the wide blast radius of your special can't save you for long and bring you back to a fighting chance against the swarms of advanced enemies likely invading the screen already.
tl;dr: Make your first life count, because it seems to be the only one that matters in this shaky-cam filled game.

The seventh round for the Titanium Man of Flash Gaming 4 is here as we examine to see how our top ten did on the previous round!
Wildman93: after starting this round off, i began to wonder if i bit off more than i could chew when i chose this game. I played this years back but had to shake the rust off so my first few playthroughs only achieved average times. But after about the fifth time, i managed to drop my time under 10 min, but the exact time im saving for the scoreboard so youll have to wait and see the results of my performance . Good luck to everyone else.
A Zero 2 Hero: This game. Why did it have to be this game. Everytime I played this game, it reminds me of an over-reactive friend of mine. I must resist the urge to punch.
P.S. Fuck Level 94.
P.S. Fuck Level 94.
Wildman93: he may have been last, but as the winner of the last round you had the ability to take me down instead of him. not only would DRQ have still been in, my game would not have been picked for this week since only those still in the tournament can have their game chosen. Then again DRQ's chosen game was...... *shiver shiver* karaoke, ugggh. Either way you picked your poison and have to face it.
OGCombos: Oh god why? *begins to roll into a ball and start crying* Blame Wildman93 for doing a little bit better. Please don't break my arm.
werdman24: Much agreed. The last game was just too boring to hold my attention which was the bigger challenge. Anyways, onward to Round 7!

We are already at round 6 as the tournament starts to get into the more difficult games. Who will reign supreme?
Whatthefnu: Day 3:
Yeah, the tedium is really starting to set in now. I can swing around at another foe immediately with a headshot aimed up now, and yet I can barely stand to do it repeatedly for more than 30 minutes at a time anymore. It's ironic that the better you get at a game you're marathoning, the less able you are to play it for long periods of time. I think what kills me is that there's no marker to show just how far you've come. I've totally filled up the handgun ammo only to drain it all again in a weak attempt to somehow mark my progress, but I've long since given up even counting how many times THAT'S happened. I like to play a game where I pretend the ammo packets the enemies drop are actually mines, and touching them will hurt me. That would be an interesting twist on the formula, I gotta say.
What really scares me about the marker, though, is the idea that if my computer goes into sleep mode while I do this, will my score be reset? All this work, for nothing? Oh god, "That would really suck" would be a horrible understatement about how that would make me feel. So do I turn in my score the morning of the 18th so I have room to try again if my fears are true? Or play the whole day knowing my competition has way more time than me these days, and I likely have to catch up? Decisions, decisions...

Lyserg.Z: Oh I remember this game being cool! And wow, Werdman seems to be doing pretty good.

Wildman93: Lets face the sad truth here..... your 'log' could be 100 % true, but more likely it has less validity than a Mario/Bowser fanfiction :) So dont you be tryin to get im mah head, no way you could afford the rent.
Whatthefnu: Player's Log, Day 2:
I've long since realized what this is going to be. When you play with just the handgun unlocked, the survival mode never scales up in difficulty. You can keep boosting your score, but for how long? Until you go insane, of course. It's a good thing my strength lies in marathon gaming, because at this rate, the person who wins this round is the one who can play for several days straight on a single run.
I just have to remember all the tricks: make sure to blink a lot, and bust out the ergonomic keyboard. Every twenty minutes or so, focus on something far away so you don't hurt your eyes. I also have to make sure I walk away for a bit if I start to slip, mentally. Every stupid mistake I make now is one I can't afford to make later when my brain really starts to go down the toilet. Despite knowing this, I've taken three hits over the past 48 hours. I really hope that doesn't come back to bite me later...

As we move into the heart of the competition, only the strongest will move on from here. Enter the next round with pulse-pounding excitement!
Wildman93: lol, i think most of us just thought that we were far enough into the competition to the point where all of us left have enough skill, look at last weeks surprisingly high scoreboard. With less of a buffer between success and the chopping block each new week, sharing strategy may not put you on the bottom, though it might make people less likely to give you the ax. When there were likely 30 people at round 1, it was okay to be subpar. But its down to 11 of us, so any mistakes can be costly.
Monderetro: Well, I guess it's on me to help players out that are still having trouble.
First off, power smashes are your friends. Learning to time them will make a lot of differences. Speaking of which, and this may be just me, but I find accuracy to be the most helpful stat of the three, due to slowing down the meter and giving you more power smashes. That's not to say you should neglect the other two stats, but only power needs to be closely behind. Control could be updated once in a while, but not much.
I will admit that there is quite a bit of luck in this one. What do I mean? Well, power smashes can only take you so far, so you are going to have to rely on the environmental...enhancements to help you out. The most useful I find are the black and white berserk warriors, as I like to call them, though cannons and gattling robots are exceptionally helpful as well.
This is where items can come in. You can only equip a certain number of items, so what I have are the taped bracer, which increases power smashes by 25%...I don't know if it's the amount of power smashes, or the impact of said smashes, but either way, it's helpful. I would also recommend the Goalie's mask, as those blobs are going to grind your dreams to a halt. The walkman's also useful for a big stat boost, though that one requires diamonds. And yes, there are items that increase encounters of the environmental helpers that I said earlier. Oh, and make sure you upgrade your weapon, too. Not only do they give stat boosts (or decreases), they also give your initial smashes more of a...smash. Just try to get the highest possible weapon you can (the $10000 ones, not the ones that require diamonds).
Going back to power smashes for a moment, you don't have to use one as soon as the nerd lands next to you, but you will want to use one ASAP, since the lower the nerd's highest height was, the less beneficial the power smash is. Also worth nothing is that, while the control isn't too important, it is important enough that you'll want to do something. Basically, hold right until you're just slowing down, then try to hit left when you see a useful helper so you don't skip over it. It's most likely a mine, but it could be something awesome, like a berserk warrior.
Lastly, I should mention that, as far as I know, the game doesn't save your high score. So as soon as you have a score that's higher than your last one, save it, even if it's only marginally better. So good luck for those still hanging on there.

Wildman93: i wasnt saying you were calling us trolls, i knew your intent. I was trying to point out that you dont have to bash and hate on the people you were criticizing because they ruin their own reputation without any help as seen by my awfully flat joke in my above comment. And sorry about the blank box... any doctor could tell ya im more autistic than artistic (not bashing autism by the way, its true. I actually have Asperger's which is considered part of the autism spectrum). and dont want to rip a random image from the net so im fine with the blank for now. but yeah if your gonna bash any one, bash the *@$% out of that nerd, cause you may have bested me last week but im not finished yet :)
Whatthefnu: I'm pretty sure I said GameTrailers. Not Screwattack. You know, GT? Home of Daniel Kayser and Timeline? And no, I would never compare the G1s to that lot. Here's some of their community's contributions to a video the site posted just yesterday:
"So many butthurt 14yo fanboys here, haha face it, thsi game is shit"
"What a stupid review. i dont know what they have, from what i saw in this video the game looks great. it will be delivered tomorow. cant wait ^^"
"Worst review ever, clearly made by someone who doesn't have a clue what the UNS series are all about. It's just a rant about cut-scenes, which are good and not a problem at all, and not focusing on the real problems of the game"
That's not to say Screwattack doesn't have trolls, but it's only once in a while, and at least they're easy to spot. In fact, so far, you're the only user with a blank avatar I've seen that isn't here just to start shit.

Wildman93: woah woah woah woah...... woah. I think i speak for most g1's when i say that our community is far above flaming. Even if your statements are true (which is possibly likely but i am not confirming nor denying for political correctness), its not necessary. Let fools ruin themselves with their own...... weapons of ass destruction, if you will. Huuh, Huuuuuh?......(insert cricket chirp here).

Round numero quatro is now most certainly present and it will take much power to tackle this next challenge!
TMoFG: That's just the way the cookie crumbles.
Whatthefnu: Like I said: just come back with one of the nozzles, and it's a piece of cake. Even if you can't start the stage with them, if you've collected one of the nozzles before, you can always access them by pressing shift (this might only work if you've beaten the stage. I'm not sure).
Monderetro: Oh! Star coin! Well, if what you're referring to is what I think you're referring to, WHY DID YOU HAD TO REMIND ME OF THAT STUPID COIN?!?!?! It's like you HAVE to go around a HUGE backtrack to even have a CHANCE of getting it. *angrish*
Whatthefnu: Actually, I was referring to the one in Bowser's final castle (before you go into space). Remember that one in the top-right key room? The one with the trick floor? Most people forget that one is even there until after the final battle.
Monderetro: If you're talking about Edge of Mushroom Kingdom, I think you even need the cannon to access it, which can only be unlocked with 63 shines. If there's anything that hasn't aged well, it's the controls. Let's just say that you use UP to jump. Luckily, it doesn't take as much time to get used to as you might think.

The third round is upon us! Who is safe? Who got eliminated? Well wait no longer for the results are right here!
Monderetro: Whoa, top 5? Okay.
OGCombos: why did you put such a high bar? Now I'm starting to worry about my score but that's how it's been for me each week.
Wildman93: huh, middle of the pack for me this time. Sydney Shark was a bit too random for my tastes anyway, but this game is all skill. Best attempt right now is about 2100 meters, but im debating whether or not its good enough to move on since all attempts after it havent been close to that mark. but if i dont score higher i have a feeling someone is gonna have around 3000 meters. But im just trying to move on for now, so the question is will at least 2 people not beat me.
FinalplayerRyu: I guess i gonna have to step it up, cant show such low performance on my game.
CraigGame: WAY too close for comfort there, but really didn't care that much for the last game, given the apparent issues with the Armour Games link compared to Newgrounds.
Hopefully I can make up for it here...
