Ooh! Ooh! I got one! I thought the X/Y regional Pokedex was too big, and I felt like BW2's 300 was pushing it.
I actually like Trubbish and Garbodor. ._.
Many of your opinions are popular especialy Gen 5 is the worst
I more have nitpicks with most Pokémon then anything else.
But an unpopular one for would probably be : I tried the GBA Pokémon and I didn't like them. At all
I wish the anime followed the manga more, especially with the violence!
Seriously though, the manga's story is far better.
I like how each generation has streamlined the game systems, making them far less tedious each time. I grew up with Gen I, but I greatly appreciate how easy it is to raise Pokemon now, and reusable TMs were a no brainer.
There's 600 some-odd Pokemon now, and before Gen V, TMs could only be used once. That leads to a lotta Pokemon not having the best moves they could.
Probably agree that it would have been better if the anime had switched main characters every few years instead of keeping the focus on Ash(that way characters could actually accomplished something at the end of their series, instead of having a reset button being pushed on them constantly).
I thought everyone (critics/fans), thought the pokemon mystery dungeon games where mediocre.
I like having 2 versions.
Probably true about Red, although his status as a silent protagonist(excluding manga/Ova's), makes it pretty easy for people to interpret him that way if they want.To be fair he has accomplished a lot, and does conically have the highest level pokemon out of all champions, so his status as a badass isn't completely undeserved.
I actually REALLY agree with that 2 games a year thing. I hadn't thought of that. There is no longer any gap imposed by hardware, plus trading is very, very easy now. As a matter of fact, it kind of makes it seem like the original plan seem like a scheme similar to unsavory DLC practices of today.
Gen 5 was the worst gen? Is that even an unpopular opinion?
If you've ever met a woman they are (or painted anything or just ever considered 2 DIFFERENT shades of green, blue, etc, different colors) and yes most people would say silver and gold are but why argue? The point is why are they letters now.
yeah, because ruby, sapphire, emerald, silver, gold, cristal. diamond, pearl and platinum are all colors.
Why are the new ones named letters instead of colors? Did they run out of ideas or do they think they've used all of the now infinite spectrum? If they want their damn games to always be the same than don't change shit up. (I don't want to hear its because of the shape of the legendaries either)
I agree with the nuzlocke's are really annoying now.
"X and Y are terrible games"
Dammit, nearly made it through without getting angry.
And, dammit! I thought Ghetsis was the first Pokemon villain to seem like real threat. At least in the main series.
Well, now is a better time than ever to give my two cents. I think my opinion on the franchise is common knowledge at this point, but it's been refined since my original rants when Black and White came out, and I want to clear the air on where I stand. Twistofate, if you're still out there, read this very, VERY carefully: I hate the Pokemon franchise.
Not Pokemon itself, not the Pokemon characters, or the developer, or the people who like Pokemon (even though all these parties share equal blame in the problem), I hate the Pokemon FRANCHISE. The series is the textbook example of why trolls like to claim Nintendo IPs never change, because it will not, and ironically cannot do such a thing. The way the games themselves are set up, it makes collecting Pokemon like digital trading cards; sure, you can design within the rules you've established, but anything too creative will turn it into a different game, and therefore scare off your audience. It doesn't matter if it's a better game in the long run, either; people will still hate you for what you've done, and because Pokemon has too massive a fanbase to disappoint, innovation in any meaningful, forward-moving way is impossible. It creates an almost sad situation where you're forced into creating these games that you know are mechanically identical for people so addicted, they'll take more in any form they can get.
So here's my unpopular opinion: the only way we'll get a better Pokemon game, a TRULY better Pokemon game, is if somebody other than Gamefreak makes it.
gen 5 was way better then the shit that was 4 and 3
While gen 5 is my favorite gen in terms of games, I do agree that some of the Pokemon are rather lame like in every generation of Pokemon. I'm actually surprised you didn't mention the gear or ice cream Pokemon. My least favorite games in the series are the gen 2 games: Silver, Gold, Crystal, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver. While they have great soundtracks, every time I play them it feels like a chore.
I somehow keep getting tricked into watching your shows Drake. That being said, I agree with some of your opinions and I am glad they are your opinions. Some of your opinions have something going there, but others just make question whether you decide to just throw in a little controversy for the enjoyment.
