It was unfortunate that I didn't get to play Soul Calibur when it came out. However, played this and every iteration since then and I must say this was by far the best one.

The edge master mode was awesome. Collecting everyone's ultimate weapons, reading up on their backstory was just effin' awesome.

The newer ones lot their charm somewhere along the way. Probably are pretty good for the competitive scene.

This video is an unfortunate example of why female gamers are still not taken seriously. No constructive criticism, interesting information or even engaging gameplay. Just stupid jokes about dildos, crack and hoes. As a fan of this series I'm disappointed that all you can about one of the best early fighting games on the PSOne is, "There are some graphical errors." It was released over 15 years ago and was ground breaking for it's time. For shame!

I find it unfortunate how people need to identify themselves by gender. I feel as though girls playing video games isn't a weird thing, and the fact that they try to shove themselves being "different" in everyone's faces is just counteracting what other women are trying to prove about equality. Also the show sucks... I could forgive it if they were funny... or informative... or maybe if they atleast didn't refer to a character as a Dildo about seven times.

Why is it that people always forget about Soul Edge? It came before Soul Blade, you know. Now, this was my first game I got with my Playstation, along with Final Fantasy VIII. Amazing game. Taki for life.

Actually Soul Edge and Blade are the same game. Most people consider Soulcalibur to be the first. Unknown to them this actually was the original. I know I had it back in the day.

I suspected that was the case, as the games were markedly similar. It didn't make much sense to me why they changed the name for the home console version. I'm also not a fan of how people only count from Soul Calibur up. I still have my copy of this game, though. :)
