Capcom focused on promoting female employees to recognize diversity
Capcom is openly focusing on promoting women to higher management positions.
In the company’s May 8 financial review, Capcom stated it “fully recognizing the importance of diversity of human resources in recent years” and is actively utilizing female workers.
According to Capcom, two female employees currently hold corporate officer positions while 20 other female employees hold general management and senior management positions.
Stressing the value of female employees is important to the company, but Capcom also stressed the importance of its evaluation process according to performance rather than gender, age or other factors.
The company’s financial review had plenty of sales successes to declare as well. Japan-only title Monster Hunter 4 sold over 4 million units since its Sept. 2013 release, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Dual Destinies reached its sales goal and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen “showed firm sales.”
