Rayman is going through what Mario went through, a 2D retro revival. Mario had his back in 2006 with New Super Mario Bros., and now Rayman had his with Rayman Origins. The difference is that now Mario has four New Super Mario Bros. games, so of course it's going to get stale after a while, but i'm a platformer whore so I don't care, i'm buying both games for the Wii U.

Well, that's sufficient recommendation for me.

This game actually looks fantastic. My biggest question is the single-player. Since everyone hates me, how can I play this game alone? I hope it's possible.

Still, Rayman Origins was FANTASTIC. One of, if not THE best platforming sidescrollers I've ever played.

I like Mario games, and I like 2D Mario games. The New Super Mario games have been decent, but they're getting pretty tired for me now, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii was pretty much the nail in the coffin for me. It felt so mediocre. It wasn't a bad game but meh, I couldn't care much less about it.

It's about time Rayman finally got to take the spotlight again. Now if only Rayman 4 was coming soon.... Oh yeah, Murphy is in Legends. Good. I get to beat him within an inch of his life if he doesn't make good on his Rayman 4 promise.

By the way, Nick was totally on-board with Rayman taking Mario's place, until Craig took it too far (which was awesome - now I want to see Mario vs. Rayman. This time, you have to beat the crap out of Rayman to rescue the princess. Heh).

Damn it, Craig, that would've been PERFECT at the end if you didn't slip up and almost say Rayman Origins.

This game is what I am most excited to play on the Wii U. Glad to hear it is as fun as it looks.
