Craig and Nick played Rayman Legends
If you loved Rayman Origins, you're in for a treat when Rayman Legends comes out.
Rayman is going through what Mario went through, a 2D retro revival. Mario had his back in 2006 with New Super Mario Bros., and now Rayman had his with Rayman Origins. The difference is that now Mario has four New Super Mario Bros. games, so of course it's going to get stale after a while, but i'm a platformer whore so I don't care, i'm buying both games for the Wii U.
well, SmartGlass isn't supposed to be like the Gamepad (so I think). You still control the game with the XBox 360 controller, smart glass just shows additional data. As for Vita and PS3 combo... it could work if the Vita has an accelerometer and a gyroscope, but I can only see Ubisoft doing that if Vitas become popular enough to justify it.
Well, that's sufficient recommendation for me.
I don't know I think UbiSoft could maybe use the Vita or SmartGlass to incorporate the touch controls on the other consoles
That's what I was thinking what singleplayer would consist of. But wouldn't it be difficult to switch between the screen and the buttons, I though the DS tought developers that lesson.
Could this be like with board games? You NEED two players "even for single player" to play this? Could be cool
rayman legends. "its like boning the princess and saying you're my bitch" - Stuttering Craig
This game actually looks fantastic. My biggest question is the single-player. Since everyone hates me, how can I play this game alone? I hope it's possible.
Still, Rayman Origins was FANTASTIC. One of, if not THE best platforming sidescrollers I've ever played.
I like Mario games, and I like 2D Mario games. The New Super Mario games have been decent, but they're getting pretty tired for me now, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii was pretty much the nail in the coffin for me. It felt so mediocre. It wasn't a bad game but meh, I couldn't care much less about it.
It's about time Rayman finally got to take the spotlight again. Now if only Rayman 4 was coming soon.... Oh yeah, Murphy is in Legends. Good. I get to beat him within an inch of his life if he doesn't make good on his Rayman 4 promise.
By the way, Nick was totally on-board with Rayman taking Mario's place, until Craig took it too far (which was awesome - now I want to see Mario vs. Rayman. This time, you have to beat the crap out of Rayman to rescue the princess. Heh).
Damn it, Craig, that would've been PERFECT at the end if you didn't slip up and almost say Rayman Origins.
This game is what I am most excited to play on the Wii U. Glad to hear it is as fun as it looks.
Dat ending monologue was priceless!! XD
Nick's face during Craig's monolog at the end.. priceless
Great description at the end Craig! Lulz.
I played some Rayman Origins after having heard from so many that it's really good, some even saying it's superior to NSMBWii. It was good, but far from being as hectic and godlike of a multiplayer game as NSMBWii is.
Rayman Legends might actually be better than NSMBU, cause it looks really good, but I'm still pretty skeptical...I'm a huge fan of the douchebag mechanics in the multiplayer Mario games. ^^
wow, of all the people i expect to trump mario, i would never have thought it would be Rayman, kudos to ubisoft and the rayman team
That's pretty vivid imagery there.
one again im saying gimmy
In the Ubisoft Press Conference, Rayman Legends showed more of what the Wii-U can do in ten minutes than Nintendo did in one hour.
I want that quote on the box
