I'm not buying DMC because:

-The overall changes to Dante and Vergil as characters is insulting

-It thinks having characters swear every other word and using the 'evil corporate world' cliche makes them more mature

-The project head is an arrogant douche

-I'm boycotting Capcom until Mega Man gets his due

-I have better things to spend my money on.

Gameplay was great otherwise.

I have never been a fan of Devil May Cry especially after Devil May Cry 4 recycled half the game for you. That said this reboot is much needed as it keeps the gameplay and adds in a fresh take on the world. The setting is amazing. If you are staying away from this reboot just because it isn't the same Dante and I'll be honest, the old Dante was just as annoying as the new one then make a fanfic of the old Dante.

Instead of raging like i have for the past year ill be constructive ish. Right off the bad the development team has already screwed up Metroid.. Great game play, horrible characters they alter and mess with characters of established brands and make there own, while in some retrospects thats good.. But let me tell you of a little story called Devil May cry 4. It had a new character his name was Nero.. people didn't like Nero now people do.. but you know what really kept DMC4 alive? Dante was playable for 45% of the story. but "DMC" is not devil may cry... that is like calling Saint's Row, GTA San Andreas... They are similer but vastly different and this is manly due to Character Design, style, and artwork all which undermine the original Devil May cry.. If you have ever played a game from the Yakuza serious you will come to understand that game play isn't the only factor needed to be considered when buying a single-player experience only game for full price.

Also don't understand how a street punk gangster thug style Dante who looks like he cracked up on to much heroine is a character you want to "know what happens to"

Metroid: Other M was developed by Team Ninja (DOA, Ninja Gaiden, etc.), DmC is developed by Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword & Enslaved). Completely different companies with completely different design philosophies. And let's be real. Nintendo's own Yoshio Sakamoto wrote and directed Other M, which were the worst things about that game. The combat itself was fine.

You're right about all of that except for the part where you said the writing and direction of Other M were the worst parts. Metroid is my fav franchise(own them all) and I had no problem with that stuff. The combat was fine, but only sadly not great. The worst part of that game was the fact that it had no sense of exploration like a Metroid game should. It was always telling you what to do and where to go. You can't get lost playing it. All the secret stuff to collect is super easy to find and get to. I beat it with 100% in 7 hours. Shortest, most boring (except maybe Metroid 2) Metroid game I ever played. That was the worst part about that game.

You're really missing the point of this reboot and the point Paul and Steve were trying to illustrate

I understand there point, but find that in some cases its just not going to fly like that.
