Final Fantasy XI is getting a new expansion in March

A Realm Reborn isn’t the only Final Fantasy MMO making news today, as Square revealed that Final Fantasy XI will be receiving its fifth expansion, as it reaches its 10th Anniversary.
Seekers of Adoulin (which will be available for both PC and Xbox 360 on March 27 for $29.99) will introduce news areas and monsters, as well as introduce the form of Rune Fencers and Geomancers job classes.
Not much information has been given about the story at this point but hopefully the basics of the plot will be revealed closer to launch.

Is it me or does the FFXI's world look a lot like the world in .hack G.U.? Look. Its got those rotating gold rings, there are cat and beast people, and the second map looks like the town where the guilds are in G.U.

It was revealed quite a while back. I did a 2-part report on it after it was announced at Vanafest back in June. But yeah, this is a new trailer/release date. Software update is March 26th for purchasers, and then servers go live on 27th.
