So.... when is the ps3 beta?
PLD_Danny1989
Alpha testing begins November/December (PC only, sign ups are available). Hopefully beta testing will begin a month or two after that.

There are some iconic Final Fantasy elements and music in this trailer. It looks really nice. I might just get it.

If Final Fantasy XIV is still broken after this expansion/update then... Well I don't know what will happen then.

Its neither an expansion nor an update, its a complete redesign/relaunch/retooling. There's an hour long talk with the development team over what they've been doing with this game. Some of the people who worked on the Agni's Philosphy tech demo even worked on A Realm Reborn as well.

I see. I do know that I was apart of Final Fantasy XIV's Beta before it launched. From what I read, the beta was exactly the same as FFXIV's initial launch. I mean FFXIV's got a great core concept as an MMO, but the developers didn't plan out the details of implementing the concept well. Can't say for sure until launch.

Well, Alpha test registrations are now available to sign up with. If your interested, I highly recommend signing up for it. Especially so considering how much Naoki Yoshida's team has done =)

As fun as that sounds my laptop can't handle it. I had to transplant the graphics card recently. The motherboard is still damaged. I won't have the money for a personal desktop until later.

Actually, I believe that the demo that Yoshida played FFXIV on at Gamescom was run on a low end laptop. They made the new engine scalable to different sorts of hardware. So you might be able to give the alpha of A Realm Reborn a go.

Again, my mother board is damaged. Even DDO crashes from time to time at very low settings.
