That rare moment when the player has more blast processing than the game itself.

I think what happen was that you was going at a speed that was equal to the sum of the speed needed to active the helicopter later on making the game think you as at the point that you needed the helicopter so it spawned it and when sonic let go he was facing the whole... in short you was going faster then the game could handle and it glitched

Ahaha I wish that was the case! What an achievement that would be!

Sadly, I think it's just a case of the developers using the fully-programmed helicopter as a background visual, resulting in me impacting the "grabbing point" of the helicopter, which made me stick to it and it carrying me off the course, into death '-.-

i watched the video over and over and it looks like sonic never let go of the helicopter. it looks like the helicopter took him off screen and into a whole ... crazy :D good thing you got that on video XD nice one mang

Its stuff like this that makes me realize I need to get a capture device. Speaking of glitches I came across one while playing Dishonored. I used possession on a tall boy and after ending it I somehow fell through the ground and couldn't effectively attack. Needless to say I was quickly discovered and killed.

Haha Sonic Generations, I remember seeing a few glitches when playing it. One of them was the Ocean temple level (forgot the name) but some how when I jump on the giant turtles, I went right through him....

This is not a glitch. Sonic was going so fast that when he tried to grab the helicopter his arms broke off. You lost a life fair & square :P

Although I'm a platforming gamer at heart, I love to get my hands on any and all games.

I am however very picky about my FPS. It HAS to be something else at heart, otherwise it will just feel like a boring, generic, black and white shooter.

[Borderlands], [F.E.A.R], [Portal], [Team Fortress]

Open world sandbox is probably my very close second favourite genre, and I think it's fair to say that Rockstar set the grounds and bar for it. Needless to say, the GTA series are a huge part of my teenage/adult gaming.

And finally, story-driven RPG's are close to, if not tied, with sandboxing when it comes to how much I love it.
