Harmonix is currently in the process of Kickstarting a re-imaging of the PlayStation classic Amplitude, but the crowdfunding campaign hasn't exactly been a sweeping success. With multiple loot tiers and a killer pitch video, Harmonix is asking for a cool $775,000 and they're about to pass the half million dollar mark with 72 hours to go. Remember it's all our nothing with Kickstarter, so they'll need another quarter of a million to get the money.Lucky for them, they have friends in high places.
Insomniac CEO Ted Price has backed the campaign with $7500 of his own money to lend a hand and encouraged fans to do the same stating, "We hope if you liked Amplitude or Frequency, or just love great music games in general, you'll consider pledging too". For backing so much, Ted also gets one of his own songs in the game and he has just the song. It's called Crazy Ride and it tells the story of Insomniac's rise to prominence after 20 years of developing. Limitless muffins, that's straight bitchin!
