Nintendo announces The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2
Nintendo has announced a sequel to the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for 3DS... Yes you heard that right. While the game hasn't been officially titled for North America, it will take place in the same world as the SNES classic and offer "an original storyline and all new dungeons."
In addition the new title will be taking a page from Paper Mario and will incorporate the switch between 2D and 3D environments to solve puzzles and discover new areas. You can expect it to release at the end of this year. You'll know its out when your hear everyone on earth orgasm in unison.
hey guess what what, nintendo is going out of bussnice they are not going to be at e3 they know they going down sinse wiiu is a fail, and so is the 3ds. sony should be the only ones at e3 sinse they are the best
Between this and the new Yoshi's Island, Nintendo seems to be turning to the awesome Super NES titles for sequel ideas. I'm super-stoked for this, and while we're on the subject of Super NES sequels, how about a 3D Super Metroid sequel?
A bit of both, I'm annoyed with people acting so "OMG I DIDN'T KNOW THIS WOULD HAPPEN" whenever Nintendo announce another Zelda game (because let's be honest, we knew they were coming when we bought the system). But due to my username I need to express myself in an arrogant manner.
Not sure if trolling or honoring username.
I thought before I watched this video that this was going to be a bad idea, but now I can't wait. I hope this is a sequel, rather than a 3D remake. After defeating Aginim, how will this story progress further?
I'm intrigued; I loved LttP... The "Paper-Link" looks like it could be interesting, especially since it looks like a Graphic from WindWaker. I wonder what new gear you get...
it is kinda weird to see link fighting the green gels with his sword cuz aren't those things supposed to shock you in LTTP.
we didn't see a stylus in the trailer. also I saw an a button prompt during the parts when he went into the walls. It seems like were getting normal controls for this game. honestly I thought the touch screen controls for the ds games were fine, but i agree it wouldn't suit this game nearly as well.
school is stubid
Please... oh please Nintendo do not let this one follow the god awful control scheme from the DS Zelda titles... >_<
I hope CondorK is right in what they really meant by it but they really gave off the impression that they mean what you thought they meant. I fail to see how that comment is in any way warranted. People WANTED a new 2D perspective Zelda game and some kind of follow up to a Link to the Past. Whether that be a remake a or new game with similarities or whatever. It's not a copy past of A Link to the Past and fans have wanted this game for years. Nintendo is giving fans what they want which is one of the most respectful things a developer can do.
This game is going to be sweet. About time we got a new Zelda Game announced. And even more about time we got one with the classic 2D perspective.
*sigh* Call me when nintendo make some original games.
You've never seen those enemies before?
I'm not your school lol. Google it.
Super Paper Zelda, Sticker Sword. =3
I think it was meant more along the lines of "I need to find more money to pay for this game" with all the good games coming out, wallets are dying left and right no doubt
I guess that's personal preference. But in the 3D trailer it seems to match perfectly for me.
I doubt it will have touch control. Mostly because the game mainly plays on the 3D screen that doesn't have touch controls.
sweet; sweet; sweet. I might get a 3DS just because of this game!
