Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, First Impressions

Oh and Sony. Sony.

If you want this game to sell like nostalgia inducing hotcakes, get these characters into it ASAP: Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Drago, Kazuma Kiryu (From Yakuza),Time Crisis Guys, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter.

I know you will pick some of these, but getting all of these will get people pumped even more.

Also, if you throw some of the Yakuza guys in there I will pre-order the game right now.

Looks like a nice filler for the next Smash, though Brawl will probably end up still being the 'go to' game among me and my mates.

I'll still get it though, if there's anything that'll get Nintendo to make Smash better as a whole it'd be a competing series, ergo, if it does well, Nintendo would have to improve Smash heaps more... and I always support rivalries that condone that kind of behavior.

It would seem this game was maybe rushed to please the Sony-boys who kept begging for an answer to Nintendo's Smash Bros. I might at least rent it and try it out, but besides that, eh. I'll patiently wait for Sakurai-san to fill my heart with new Smash joy.

It does seem a bit underwhelming compared to when we first saw it. I thought that when I saw Sony's press conference. I think the biggest thing they could change is definitely making the characters feel and play differently. That is so important that it should be illegal not to have that in the game.

The thing that made Smash Bros. so great is that mostly all of the players are Nintendo-exclusive (I know, Brawl had Sonic and Snake and whatnot, but most of them are). Bioshock is multiplatform, as is Fat princess. I don't feel like Sony has the character bank to pull a game like this off.
