I am glad Screwattack made this video, but I am also sad that they needed to make this video. I guess people don't think about all of the costs that go into making a convention. Clearly, Screwattack is a Fortune 500 company whose only concern is making money.
That explains everything now. Right? I hope that no more people will question this even further. I wish i could go. The trip alone would cost me at me almost 1k
I really wish that certain events did transpire in my life during this kickstarter, if they hadn't then my donation would be a lot bigger than it is. T_T
It just means that they edited out the "fluff" in the other video, but left it all in its fullness here.
My biggest problem with KickStarter in general is that most people doesn't have any sort of proposed plan to justify for the price. Anyone can go on KickStarter and promise rainbow and sunshine to ask for millions, but very few people list what their asking price is for.
Take Ouya for example, they ask for tons of money on the promise of lots of games that no one can confirm. It wasn't until they earned $9 million dollars some publishers are talking about porting some older games on the platform.
I actually met the guy who owned most of the arcade machines at Magfest. He's a cool guy.
Funny how you call it an uncut video when there's no cursing in it whatsoever... XD
Would strongly consider coming from Australia if you guys got Weird Al, lol
What i gather from this video is that it's a smal convention , where about a 1000 people can get together . I wonder if you guy's will scale up the venue if you get the impression that this time a lot more people want to come ? And did you guy's plan for this ?
Kickstarter is all or nothing. If the Kickstarter goal isn't reached the pledgers keep their money.
Nothing, pledged means that the money isnt taken unless the goal is reached.
what happens with the pledged money if they don't get the 100K they need for the kickstarter?
The reason doesn't matter. We g1s are willing to pledge our hard-earned cash either way! To make the amazing SGC happen again.
...but yeah I guess this video does clear up a lot of things for people who aren't g1s.
well, finally got my pledge in. let;s make this work guys!
I'm glad you took the time to do your best to iron this issue out, Craig and Chad. When it comes time for SGC 2014, start like this from the get-go.
Let's go, g1s! The Kickstarter only recently finally cracked the $40K mark, and there's less than 2 weeks left. Don't wait 'til the last second for the marathons to make this a buzzer beater -- no reason to push things down to the wire like that. If you want SGC to happen, please help out NOW!
(And yes, I've already pledged myself. BRING IT.)
its all good guys, I got no problem with your reasons for needing the cash, glad that so many of us are supporting you.
I think more people should quite whining and complaining that they need money to do it. If people just gave what they could...not huge amounts...as many people that are on this site would make it happen easily!
Let's make SGC happen.
Is there really a choice? OF COURSE I'LL WATCH THE UNCUT VERSION
I rather see the screwattack crew dress as a KOF characters
