Think Gangnam as Korea's upper east side and Beverly hills rolled into one. Expensive real estates, night clubs, plastic surgeons, and etc. Often ridiculed for what it represents to many, superficiality.

Within his funny exterior, PSY's musics try to bring a brighter light to a lot of social issues that are often subjected to criticism. In this music, he is saying he loves Gangnam girls, or anyone who pursue the life style, often involving frivolous spending, superficiality and partying.

PSY makes a lot of party music. Going to one of his concert is... not recommended for the exercise deficient.

The MV features some cameos from well known comedians. (Yellow suit and elevator)

One of PSY's most famous music is this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNGVqc1KP6s

Only thing I understand from this video are the hot chicks in it. Fanboy needs to step in and try to explain he's weird taste in music to use normal people.

I'll be the first to say I fucking love K-pop. I am a loyal SONE and love SNSD or Girls Generation. If anyone's curious oddly enough they did a commercial for a Ramen company in Korea and they got the rights to use the Bubble Bobble theme song for their commercial. Check it out here: http://youtu.be/yyFFKrxW95E

Korean music has a long standing tradition of picking a few English words and putting them in a song to sound cool. As per this song it is about Gangnam. This section of Seoul is the highest quality area to live in. Best food shops, most expensive rent. The Lyric he says about oppa gangnam style, means adult man/father style in gangnam in other words a rich mans style. And as A guy whose lived out here for years, i can tell you its an accurate description. The majority of the video is a tounge and cheek look at the people who live there.
