Sony continues its PlayStation retrospective with a brief history of the PS2

Earlier this weekend, Sony released a special video highlighting the history of the PSOne and its importance in the gaming realm, as a method of hyping up the big announcement on Wednesday, which is likely the reveal of the PS4. Like clockwork, the company has released another video, this time providing a brief history of the PS2.
The video makes mention of how the PlayStation successor quickly rose up to become the highest selling console of all time, as well as its technological innovations such as the built in DVD player, its network adapter which allowed online play, and the EyeToy which broke new ground for motion controls. The video also made sure to spotlight the console’s top tier exclusives like God of War and Ico that were the pinnacle of its 10,000+ game library.
I wonder if Lucas has all 10,828 PS2 games?
I’m going to go ahead and guess a PS3 history video will be posted soon enough.

this was (much like the people who fought in WWII) the greatest generation, all 3 consoles were cranking out great original stuff, but PS2, though technologically inferior to the other 2 dominated through great games, and great support, something the PS3,PSP. and vita have lacked, I hope this announcement can bring my faith of the brand back.

ps2 was a really big hit but in that hole video i'm not really sure why they showed the eye toy >.> i figured that woulda been something best left forgotten lol which reminds me i fell for that prefrial i think i still got it .... berryed away were ill never hopefully find it again asides from that ya ps2 was da shit the network adapter opend up so many things for it to socom monster hunter random racing games was pretty bad ass

funny how they didnt say anything about ps3... they did a good job only talking about the high lights of the ps2 and none of the BS but thats cool i liked the ps2 and 3 was ok so whats see what 4 brings us
