The First Assassin's Creed Sucks!
Assassin's Creed II is a FANTASTIC game, but I'll be doing a review of it in a month so I don't flood my channel with AC stuff.
hmm interesting i have only played the first and it was so mind numbingly repetitive i never bothered playing the others because of it. i even skipped the free download of the 2nd because of how bad of an experience i had with the first. is it really different or just better looking and still repetitive?
Repetitive, yes, but still loads of fun. It was unique and helped set the tone for the fantastic Assassin's Creed II.
In retrospect it does. However, when it was the first game released in the series it was absolutely brilliant.
The original AC was not as good as the other. The redundancy of the missions can turn anyone away from the game. The typical objective is pickpocket, interrogate, eavesdrop, kill your target, and runaway.
It's been so long since I've played any AC game I forget the majority of what happened in them. Luckily, AC2 was free a few weeks ago and still sitting there waiting to be replayed.
Assassin's Creed 2 was the best in the series and after that each game got worse. I still need to finish Assassin's Creed 3 but so far I'm not impressed, it's ok but not nearly as good as Assassin's Creed 2
The main reason I disliked the first game was due to how disgustingly repetitive it was. For a huge part of it, it goes like this:
Al Mualim, gives you your targets, go to the respective city, go to the assassin bureau, do a few side missions out of 4 varieties, go back to the bureau, go kill your target, return to the bureau, go back to Al Mualim, rinse and repeat.
I did really like the atmosphere and setting, though.
It wasn't as polished as the rest but hey, the improved the formula.
I think I'm in the rare minority of people who don't like all of the Assassin's Creed games after the first one. (AC2 was alright, though.)
