Couple things... onc Half-Life and Portal ARE in the same universe as shown in the original Portal game... Appature and Black Mesa were rival companies.... two sadly the portal gun can only work on objects covered in moon dust as told in portal 2... But it's still a really cool video non the less.... love how they have Gordon and Chell using sign language! xd

Plus Portal 2 takes place far after Half-Life 2 happened. Which would be the only way she'd be there since she never left Aperture conscious until Portal 2. But I guess this is one of those match-ups where we need to suspend our disbelieve.

Chell escapes the lab in the original Portal just via a giant explosion... it doesn't let us know if she survived or not it just fades to black.... Gordon could potentially find her dead or alive when he searches the Apature labs whenever episode 3 drops...

She doesn't 'escape' she gets knocked unconscious and gets dragged back by the Party Escort Bot.
